Gorgeous location and had a good time with communication leading up to our stay. Unfortunately when there we had absolutely no power in the large yurts. We were told we had to be sparing which we were prepared for, but there was absolutely none, could not even shower, and all of our food in the fridge/freezer went bad. It was really difficult to get in contact with them and when they did respond they came and 'fixed' it, but nothing changed and no response when we tried to update. It is a beautiful and peaceful area, but a bit let down considering how much things cost.

We loved our stay. In a campsite, close to the roaring river. Horses lazing around in the lawn, munching on treats while going on a walk with a handler, and greeting us in the morning. Wonderful views. The whole experience was serene. I hope for a communal bath house someday, instead of only a port-o-potty. :)

We stayed in the Little Alpha yurt (the middle of the 3 yurts) and it was fantastic! Check in was easy as we followed instructions that had been emailed to us before arrival. The views are great, and it’s very calm and peaceful. We had a fantastic sleep, the bed was really comfortable and we could hear the river flowing. There is a spacious deck area and BBQ over looking the river. We sat at the communal campfire on both nights and chatted with some other guests! There’s a portable toilet behind the yurts and an outdoor sink for washing up. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it!

Our wedding here was a fantastic time - they provided lots of flexibility for us to set up whatever we wanted, we had some people camping and some people in the yurts, and we loved the sauna. They maintain the landscaping very well for some beautiful photos!

We had the most marvelous time on a one hour trek down the creek side. The people were so kind and the horses are unbelievable. Rescued animals that bear no animosity to people, the horses gave us the most memorable experience. Thank you for the kindness you show your guests and most importantly, your equine friends. The setting is tranquil and serene, we saw salmon in the creek and peaceful horses in lots of shaded paddocks. What an excellent job you are all doing. Thank you so much.

We got married at Cheekeye Ranch this summer and while it is an incredible venue, it is going through some growing pains. We signed a contract in 2019, and had to postpone throughout the pandemic and they were very understanding and worked with us to solidify a new date, with an understandable fee increase. There was some breakdown in communication throughout the process, leading to some unexpected charges (that were removed once our planner discussed it with the owner). There is inadequate drainage for the tent set up and they had laid down wooden boards to try to mitigate the water, which ended up leading to a completely mud covered floor and many ruined shoes. The yurts and accommodations were fantastic - our friends and family enjoyed being able to stay together for the weekend. We also had Wild Haven Glamping tents set up, which were fabulous beside the beautiful river. There is now a washroom with showers available, but it is solar powered and because it was a cloudy weekend in June our guests reported there was no power in the bathrooms to get ready and we had to bring in an additional washroom trailer for our guests. All in all it was a beautiful venue for a wedding and I know it will only continue to improve with time!

We stayed in the Tantalus yurt with our daughter (king bed, probably one of the best I've ever slept in) and it was amazing. The beautiful deck looks out over the rushing river, and we were delighted to exit the yurt occasionally to find peacefully grazing horses (and the occasional donkey) snacking on buttercups outside the door. The permanent residents of the ranch were friendly and waved at us, and we were allowed to roam around and explore, which worked great for a six year old. We got our daughter a horse ride, which she loved, and we went for daily walks around the property just to take in the gorgeous views. The yurt itself was cozy and welcoming, with a spotlessly clean grill for cooking on. We are already looking forward to booking again.

I love the area and grew up on the property with my family in the 90s before it was a ranch, so I was excited to be home once again. I would rate my stay in the Niobe yurt a 3.5 if I could. We didn’t receive much of a welcome, and the instructions were a bit confusing on how to enter and park within the yurts. We did not receive an access code prior to arrival, probably because the information given was outdated. Turns out the two newer yurts weren’t locked and didn’t come with a key so it was a bit sketchy leaving our belongings behind. We were under the impression that all yurts were fully booked, but my husband and I were the only two amongst the 15 footers. I expected a bit more upkeep and the pot holes were insane throughout, so be careful with your car while travelling. It was also a good thing that we were up and out by 7:15am because weed whacking started by that time. Our saving grace during our stay was having the gorgeous turquoise river next to us with our hammocks in the trees. Overall, it was good for us to experience, but I felt it cost more than it should being off grid.

I stayed in one of the big yurts with my family. We had a fully functional kitchen, lighting, bathroom and shower, BBQ and 4 beds that could sleep between 4-6 people. It felt like we were on a wilderness escape but with all the perks that the yurt had to offer. Bring a flashlight and you're good to explore around the site even when it gets dark out. It's so private, you feel so relaxed when you're there. Highly recommend!!

Our music group recently performed at a wedding at Cheekeye Ranch and had the pleasure of working with Mandy of Squamish 360 Events. Mandy did an absolutely amazing job at pulling together a lot of logistical requirements of a multi-component wedding. Everything went so smoothly and she was always there if needed and super friendly. The ranch is beautiful -- as you come in, there are free roaming horses just through the gates and picturesque blue waters running along side this venue. The mountains that come through right behind the reception and ceremony area are stunning and I can imagine the newlyweds are going to have some unforgettable photos. We loved the set up, especially that is was covered for the live band, and the area for the dance floor in front was perfect. Would love to perform there again and work with Mandy -- it was seamless!
