Vanguard Hair Parlour

This place is great, I have been going ever since it opened and I can't say enough about the hairdressers. I have my regular, Julie, but when she is busy for a last minute appointment I have had many of the other hairdressers and they also do a great job. Best part of going to Vanguard is how many people ask who does my hair, that is a sure sign it is a great color and cut. Also my teen son goes here and he was so picky about who did his hair, now he is happy with any of the stylists at Vanguard, they are all great and so nice. Bonus they now also do mani/pedi, one stop shop is awesome when I am waiting for my hair color I get my nails done, time management at its best. Anyhow I don't often put up reviews but being from Montreal I know what's it's like to try to find a hairdresser you like so I wanted to share.

Had my hair done by Adriana at her new location in Aurora at Vanguard Salon and I'm so happy! Beautiful salon..super friendly and great service! Adriana is the absolute best hairdresser around. She always gets the color exactly right. I used to see Adriana at Timeless Harmony but I really didn't like the vibe there at all. I tolerated it bc Adriana is so great but it always felt like the movie mean girls with the owner hiding behind corners and gossiping. Highly recommend Vanguard and Adriana!

I came here for a balayage and trim, and while the ambience and service was wonderful, I didn’t leave the salon in high spirits.I was looking to have a soft balayage done that blended nicely into my natural hair. I provided photos for reference, etc. Unfortunately, I left with what can only be described as a block of bleach blonde. Having paid $250 for this, I felt a bit uneasy. I didn’t actually realise the extent of the blockiness until I went to other hairstylists later (to have toners on to temporarily rectify the horror!) who told me it was very bleached and more like a chunky ombré. Despite it looking good or not, I felt $250 was very steep for a balayage. I’ve since had my hair beautifully highlighted plus olaplex for $100.

This place is incredibly amazing!This is the first place my girlfriend and I went to and we more than fell love with the place!Julie and her crew are the most efficient and professional group of ladies and we can't wait to come back every few weeks!Not only is the atmosphere of the elegant salon to die for, but the curtosy of amazing staff is a top above the rest.Thank you Julie for everything! You're incredible!

I've been getting my hair done at Vanguard since they opened. I get complimented on my hair on a regular basis due to Julie's fantastic work. The salon is warm and inviting and everyone there is so friendly! I would recommend Vanguard to anyone looking for a quality salon with a really great atmosphere!

I had my first experience at Adriana's salon. Inside Vanguard Hair Parlor in Aurora the vibe is elegant, sophisticated and oh so friendly. I have had the pleasure of being a client getting to know Adriana for 7 years... She is a very talented colorist, wonderful person and fabulous conversationalist.I highly recommend coming to visit Adriana at her new location.

Had an awesome experience with my first hair cut in Canada. Trendy style concepts, Good ambience and great service. Slightly priced high but worth it for me.

I always get nervous when going to a new hair stylist. I've had my fair share of bad hair cuts. So I head into Vanguard today with hope and trepidation. I chose them because here on Google, they've been well reviewed and they're close by my shop.After a nice welcome and zero wait, Shannon sat me down and after I let her know what style I was looking for, she let me know what we could do based on my hair type and head shape. Probably the most professional approach to cutting my hair I've ever experienced.I pay attention to details and I really appreciate when someone takes care and does little things that make a huge difference. Shannon actually did her clipper work first, before washing my hair so that the little hairs from the clipping would be washed away and not bother me during the day. Very cool and a first. All hair stylists could learn something from her here.Bottom line: I'll be back. Nice job. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that the place is very cool looking and has a super chill vibe.

Sharon is awesome and my hair always looks amazing when I leave. Super friendly staff and am adorable little puppy. Plus the salon is gorgeously designed and super comfortable.
