Ecole Setsuko

I had an incredible time studying in the Swedish Program at Ecole Setsuko. I enjoyed the classes because they were always very enriching, very individualized, and it helped that they were made for small groups. The amazing teachers at this school truly gave their time and effort into guiding us throughout our learning experiences, which was always appreciated!

I was a qualified and practicing Naturopath when I went looking for a deeper understanding of my clients health issues. In 2015 I signed on for the Acupressure and Chinese Medicine program at Setsuko. I am so glad I made that decision! The different approaches I now offer my clients using Naturopathy, Acupressure, TCM principles and flower/crystal essences, create amazing transformations that are an honour to witness. The Acupressure & TCM program houses very experienced and very approachable teachers who are so generous with their knowledge. The whole faculty are such cheerleaders for their students growth and development, arming them to confidently step into the healing arts community as competent therapists. Jenni, the school's Director is kind, compassionate, and so accommodating to each students needs. I can't speak more highly of this little gem of a school tucked away in Montreal.

I started training at Ecole Setsuko in the autumn of 2020 and have been continually impressed by the calibre of the educators and the depth of instruction. Courses are well-organized, thoughtful and enriching. The director of the school has created comprehensive professional programs taught by experienced practitioners and has really adapted to the needs of the students, especially during the pandemic and all of the necessary precautions in place. I feel confident that I will come out of this not only highly competent in my chosen modalities, but connected to a group of well-rounded practitioners as we launch our practices. The atmosphere of the school (even with online classes) is very welcoming, human and professional. I have only positive things to say about this school! Very excited to continue my training and keep learning with Setsuko.

Trying something new is truly scary but everyone at Setsuko really made my experience one to remember. I did the full Swedish Massage program and learnt so much from the teachers and students. I truly evolved into the practitioner that I always aspired to be, thanks to Ecole Setsuko!

Today I received my Naturopath/ Acupressure double diploma after two years of intense studies. I feel so grateful and proud of my self and my fellow students, it has been such an enriching experince for all of us. All teachers are very attentive, especially Janine who has been our Acupressure teacher for the last two years. A clinic gave us alot of practical and hands on experience. And ofcourse a special thank you to the director of the school, Jenni, who has been available for any questions and needs through all this time. I wish this school a bright future full of curious students looking to learn a holistic way of living and spreading it to the world.

My classes at Setsuko have been life changing. I signed up a year ago to learn skills for my healing practice and am getting so much more out of that decision! Positive life shifts and deep personal growth. Jenni has also done a phenomenal job transitioning our classes online, making space for a safer learning environment during these times. I am looking forward to sharing my new healing skills! Feeling seen and supported, I am forever grateful for Ecole Setsuko.

I have been working with Jenni at Setsuko for over 15 years. I have had many treatments for a variety of physical issues. Jenni is a wonderful human being who cares deeply for her clients. She is a consummate professional who has always provided the highest quality of service. O have watched as Jenni's business has grown over the years to include other professionals, and she has become an inspiring teacher. Cannot recommend her and Setsuko highly enough.

Recently deciding to switch career paths, I came across this massage school from my husband's friend. I'm so glad I looked into it because it's exactly what I'm looking for. Ecole Setsuko has a genuine, holistic approach to massage therapy. So far I have taken a few classes at this school, including Physiology and Traditional Chinese Medicine and a couple work shops on Cupping and Swedish Massage. The classes are small, intimate and very personal. I'm looking forward to more classes at this school and eventually graduating as well!

I did an intro to shiatsu course here and really enjoyed the class, Jenny is a great teacher. I also just recently had a session with her and she not only gave me a lot of tangible tools/suggestions but the bodywork part of the session was very relaxing.

In opening École Setsuko, Jenni Lee has gathered the seeds of alternative medicine from around Montreal's English-speaking community and planted them into the garden of her vision to make these practices widely available to the community. As a teacher, I enjoy witnessing how the school has blossomed through the caring, professional and robust series of programs, community support and personal growth offered there.
