Was at Grand Bibliotheque when the entire study area could hear two people having a loud conversation. When I went down and told the security guard that when he talks to his coworker right in the location they were that it echos and it distrupts everyone. He told me well the problems over what do you want me to do, gave me a fist bump and said ok you good buddy. The library is quiet except for the security guards talking, which are there to enforce silence in the study areas, very ironic.

Ancien employé de gardaworld,Je n’ai pas reçu mon relevé 1 et T4J’ai téléphoné mais un employé au nom de Carl répond et me dit qu’il refuse la démission que j’ai donné voici déjà 8 mois et m’affirme qu’il est le plus haut dans la compagnie qu’il serais même le propriétaire de Gardaworld. Aucun moyen de communiquer avec qui que se soit d’autres dans la compagnie. Il me raccroche au nez et vue que c’est le seul a qui on peu discuté on ne peu évidemment pas faire de plainte. J’ai essayé de téléphoner a au moins 20 reprise et toujours le même résultat.

I am an Agent that works for Garda. I was scheduled today to work 65 KM away from my home in Laval, in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu from 6:30 am until 3:30 pm.Garda agreed to pay for my mileage since it is quite far for me. It is an hour road from my house and being a good employee, I stepped out of my home and got on the road at 5 am in order to get to my destination a good 20 minutes in advance.At 5:35, less than an hour before the beginning of my shift and being half way from my destination, I received a call from the control centre. The lady on the phone let me know that they scheduled two agents at the same location and that she would have to change my shift. It would be in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu as well but my schedule would be from 8am until 6pm.Having planned my day in a manner where I can take care of my niece in the evening, I explained that such a last minute change affecting my ending time by nearly 3 hours + the road back home wouldn’t be possible for me due to obligations set up based on my original schedule.I was then told that it’s my choice and that they wouldn’t pay me nor for my mileage nor for the minimum 4 hour pay since they had me move. I was basically told that it’s my problem and that this kind of changes are part of the gig.I as an employee have to advise Garda 4 hours in advance if I’m not coming in to avoid being reprimanded but they can do as they please. I had to drive back home 40 minutes, pay my own gas and not get paid for my time.I think that this is ridiculous, shows that employees don’t matter and that we’re just a number there. It was an incredibly frustrating experience during which I actually lost money. Who would want to keep on working hard for such an employer?Very sad.

20 high salary guys waiting for them to close the roads as they are always late or showing at the last minute before the job is canceled. If you ever wonder why your tax are so high... Blame garda world
