Canadian Tire

I really like this Canadian Tire. Always well stocked, really good prices on things like storage bins, trash cans, laundry baskets etc. Nice store, nice staff.

Clean and well organized store. Small but easy to find things. Staff super friendly and helpful.

They had water softener salt in stock!

The store is good, however, they have THE WORST customer service and that’s only because one particular female employee. She is completely rude, impolite, disrespectful towards other employees AND customers. Just a few moments ago, she literally YELLED at my husband and mother-in-law because they did not see the sign at the door of “leave your backpack”.We simply will nottttt at allll ever go back there again while she’s there. Off to Kent we go!

I had my tires put on by another location and unfortunately there was a problem with one leaking air. I was told I would have to wait until the end of May to have it fixed.This was the first week of May.I left upset but luckily went to the downsview location and was able to get in today.Excellent job on repair. I received a called that it was all done and ready to go.I went from a unhappy customer to a very happy customer.Thanks to all the hard working people out there.

Was intaragated at the front doors about getting a credit card. When I said I don’t want my credit ran. He kept trying in to proceed to try! Two more times.

I go there for oil changes only - it is close to my home. Every time they try to upsell me I always need a new air filter (?) last time i was told I need a new battery?? I said no all good - please just do the oil change.

This is our local store, and they have some very definitive strengths. Their customer service team, at the front desk, is awesome. They are always quick and helpful, and have a lot of knowledge about products and services. We've also experienced hassle free returns which is nice. The store is a bit smaller than others so stock is sometimes sold out or limited in quantity. We usually find the store is quite tidy, but the item locator app often doesn't match where the item is in the store. My biggest complaint about this particular store is the auto department. We had an appointment booked for snow tires, but there was a bad storm and the store was shut. When we called the next morning to reschedule, the person on the phone laughed and said something along the lines of that we shouldn't have waited until the last minute! He put me on hold and I eventually ended up hanging up and calling back. We left two voicemails, neither of which was returned. This is not an isolated incident. We often have trouble getting through, and messages frequently go unanswered. We drive to Bedford Commons now for anything auto service related.

I usually avoid going to Canadian Tire because of the experiences I have in the past but today I had to make a purchase and had no other option but to go here. I was made to realize my mistake as soon as I asked for help from a staff member. The older lady at the help desk was anything but helpful. She had a demeaning tone and did everything to avoid helping us. We had a simple question about the points card but she made all kinds of excuses including “I don’t know” and “I don’t have a calculator”. I really hope it wasn’t because of the color of my skin. But I won’t be surprised since this wasn’t the first time I have had such an experience at Canadian Tire. This brand pretends and tries to look “Canadian” and “inclusive” by shoving coloured folks in their ads while paying no heed to what kind of people they are hiring to work at their stores. Get a lesson from Walmart and Home Depot on how to do hiring.
