Bear my dog is thee most important person in my life. So, I choose Dr Michael very carefully. We have been going for our annual checks for the last four years. Service has always been top notch, responsive, honest and delivered with so, much heart from all the staff.We have to use the Emergency Services at Mohawk Clinic their sister clinic a couple of times. Once for a upset tummy. The second time for a serious infection and they truly treated us all like family. A very expensive surgery was in the cards and when I said ai felt things were getting better they paused the surgery. Did a re exam and he was given the all clear , the antibiotics had worked their magic.Bear always goes willingly even giving them a little tail wag. So they get Bears paw of approval. They have my heartfelt gratitude for caring for my best pal.

Had my dog's spay done here. Quick surgery, professional staff, no complications, reasonable pricing. She's happy and healing quicky. Recommend this clinic highly.

Though the nurses and receptionists were friendly, I would never choose this vet hospital again. I took my cat to see the vet because he has a white dot in one of his eyes. The vet checked him with bare hands for like a minute and asked us to see a professional optician because she had no idea what the white dot was. We had to leave and that was fine to me. However, she charged us $130 for consultation. What kind of hospital would charge patients fee when they cannot provide any treatment or even advice?

My partner and I have just recently moved to Hamilton, and we have been looking for a good Veterinarian close by. Although I have spoken to a lot of good vets in the area, I was intrigued by Downtown Animal Hospital after speaking with the staff. I originally called Downtown Animal Hospital only in order to get my cats prescription diet as they were around the corner. I spoke to Aileen and was immediately impressed with the service and knowledge she presented. I booked an appointment for an on going issue that my cat has been dealing with for awhile, but common treatment options haven’t been an option for him. Dr. Ahn was amazing with my Max, listened to his history, and presented a different option that has been working so well so far! She is a very intuitive veterinarian with obviously a lot of experience and knowledge. Highly recommend, and I am so happy I found a Vet so close to me who is so amazing!

Love this vet's office. They were able to find the problem with my kitty very quickly and treat it fast. They are very kind and were able to explain things to me very clearly. I have anxiety especially around my animals' care and being able to reach them via email and always get an answer in a reasonable time has been a huge help. I would recommend them to anyone in the Hamilton area and will be bringing my animals here as long as I live here. :)

I'll be honest, my initial reason for choosing this vet was because they are a three minute walk from my front door. That being said, I definitely hit the jackpot! This clinic's care is incredible, and the staff is wonderful. I'd especially like to mention Dr Fernandes, who has called more than once to follow up with me about my cat's allergy treatment, on her own initiative and at no cost to me. Her proactive approach and confidence in her analysis makes me feel like my cat is in safe hands. I also appreciate that no one at this clinic ever pushes me to spend more. Previous clinics have attempted to guilt-trip me into letting them run expensive tests that weren't medically necessary, insinuating that I would be a neglectful owner if I didn't agree. Here, for the first time, a vet has told me a test was an option but didn't try to bully me into saying yes. Steve and I are so grateful for this place (although he may not look like it) and I hope to keep coming back for many, many years.

I’ve been taking my cat here for years. On my most recent visit the staff absolutely doted on her and were very gentle and did so much to keep her as comfy as possible.The examination room they put me in had a cat tree which was so thoughtful, even though my little girl was too timid to try it.They were honest about what she did and didn’t need done and made sure to come up with a plan that worked for everyone when she didn’t have enough urine for urinalysis.While most of their chairs had arms that made sitting in them inaccessible to me because they were too narrow, when I asked for a different chair they promptly and happily brought me one without making any fuss.Really kind and supportive staff too.

The staff at the front desk in particular have always been so kind and welcoming. They supported me in the grief of losing a pet so we'll that I decided to return with my new pet - and they shared in that joy also. It's been a more positive experience than I've had at several other vets.

Staff are wonderful and our dog has always been comfortable - excited even - to visit the vet! Given a recent illness, we were presented with various options at different price points and allowed the opportunity to make an informed decision, without any pressure. They even followed up with us days after to see how he was doing. The staff really seem to care about our boy, Goose, as much as we do.

Don't bring your dog to this vet clinic indifferent staff. I'm in process of launching a medical complaint with the Ontario Veterinary College. For the poor treatment my dog got at this clinic during an operation gone bad. Very Sub standard Veterinary Clinic in my opinion. The prices were also by far the most expensive, in the area. Based research. A bad combination of high prices and horrible services. Is what I experienced.
