Shalene Dawn Photography

Shalene is AMAZING!! She photographed our wedding this past weekend and we could not be happier with her and the sneak peeks that we’ve been able to see. She had no problem driving all the way down to Cremona, AB from Edmonton the evening before the wedding to look at the venue beforehand. Shalene was so helpful throughout the wedding planning process - answering all of my questions and helping with building the timeline with enough time for photos. She made two very awkward people feel so comfortable in front of the camera and truly felt like part of the family the entire day. Shalene is a true talent and is able to see beauty in everything, we are so lucky and thankful that she was there to document our perfect day.

Shalene is not only amazing at her art, but also just an amazing woman! My now husband and I were unable to partake in an engagement shoot due to the pandemic, so we had only chatted through zoom and phone calls. We met Shalene on the wedding day and it was as though we had been friends for years. She gets the photos that you want and more. She made use feel at ease, she made us laugh, and her photos are incredible even before any editing. She is definitely the photographer you want for your special day, because not only is there for the special moments, but she creates them.

Shalene was a fantastic wedding photographer! The colours she brought out were amazing and captured our day perfectly. She also put in the extra effort in sending us a thank-you package both when we signed our contract and when she sent the photos. Would highly recommend Shalene and would use her again!

Shalene is a wonderful photographer. I wasn't too sure about what I wanted as I had not so great experiences with other people before. But Shalene, right from the start seemed so reassuring. She made me feel very comfortable before and during the photoshoot. She did an introductory online meeting first to get an idea of what I was looking for. She is super friendly, supercool and has a great talent in her art. I am so happy with the photos I got. I would highly recommend her to everyone. I am very happy to have found her and will definitely work with her again.

Shalene was absolutely wonderful to work with! I would highly recommend Shalene for any photography needs you may have. She recently did a boudoir shoot for me and captured my wedding. The imagination and creatively she has is truly outstanding. She has a great sense of detail and passion for her work. She has a wonderful personality which makes you feel comfortable and relaxed during your shoot. I am very pleased with the work she has done for me. I couldn’t imagine anyone else capturing my wedding day. She did such an incredible job and has given me pictures that I will forever cherish. I will be using her in the future for my photography needs and I recommend her often to friends and family.

Shalene is a one of a kind photographer.When I first found Shalene when I was looking at pictures for our ceremony site, I was linked to her website and right then and there, I knew I had to set up an appointment to meet up, and let me tell you, she responds very quickly to meet ups. We scheduled are appointment later that week & book her then and there. Let me add - her prices were a steal especially when you see the quality/services she providesOne thing that I love and really wanted to post here, is the Shalene was very transparent about her prices - it's posted on her website & that was such a relief- don't waste your precious time and effort on someone who won't give you straight answers and book Shalene instead!From our engagement photo's to our wedding day - Shalene would go to extra mile to capture some insane shots and different perspectives. Hiking, in water - She'll get you those photo's!I also really appreciated the fact Shalene would hand deliver our photo's to our house (and her packaging skills - I won't spoil the surprise) . I mean, she could mail them out and not have to deal with that, but she makes the effort and I really loved that. After all the interactions with Shalene, I can honestly say she is like having my best friend taking photo's for our special day. And to be honest, I didn't have a single worry about our photo's, or if we had enough - I had utter confidence in her and her abilities! and that's what having a genuine photographer is all about.Thanks Shalene!

We hired Shalene for our backyard wedding this past summer. Working with her was an absolute dream. My husband and I aren't the most comfortable taking photographs and Shalene made us feel completely at ease. The photographs turned out fantastic, and perfectly captured the feeling of our big day.
