My opinion and without prejudice has been an awful, awful experience and I’m extremely disgusted in the treatment I received from this place. I got a letter today that I am no longer allowed service at the clinic and they will not take any of my phone calls or help any pets under my care. This includes the pharmacy. I spent $4000 there on my rabbit and they promised me they would be there for me after his 3 week stay. Soon as I left the clinic I felt I was on my own. I live 5 hours away and it took days and weeks for replies. I had a severely sick rolling uncontrollable pet. The college wouldn’t get back to me when I needed advice, I had to find a exotic rabbit specialist over zoom and pay for help because I was on my own. Every single time I got a different story from a different person at he clinic. I feel like I had awful customer service. The manger was no help to me either. I complained multiple times to the manager about the customer service and how I was promised help when I left the clinic and how they weren’t getting back to me. I was told they were busy and on a lockdown code of some sort for exotics.the director did not return my call either. I told them I could not afford repeat blood work after such a large bill. I feel like they took advantage of my anxiety disorder and my panic and sadness when my pet was so sick. They made me feel like the tests were needed to get him the best care. I did tons of blood work there, tons of scans, ultrasounds, liver biopsies etc. Then afterwards told me they were only recommened and they would have adapted the care if I couldn’t have done them. I feel like they took advantage of my bad mind state and then dropped me soon as they got the money. I tried finding a different exotic vet and I’m having a hard time. I wanted a second dose of the prescription they gave me at the college incase of a flare up and I told them I couldn’t afford a repeat blood work check after my $4000 bill. The college then told me I violated it by not doing the repeat check needed to safely administer anything and they told me they will no longer help me. Why couldn’t they adapt the care now that I can’t afford the repeat blood work and check up? All I wanted was the same anti parasitic prescription he was on incase of a flare up. Overall my experience was incredibly horrible and worst of all is how they now dropped me and my pets from all care from there. That is the only hospital in SK. What kind of place does that if they care about animals? I have nothing good to say about this place and can not believe the treatment I endured.

Exceptional experience. We had to have surgery to fix a complicated canine fracture and drove from Medicine Hat. They accommodated us with scheduling. I would absolutely recommend the VMC for your pet's needs. Very professional and communicated with us through the entire procedure.

Our cat, Sebastian, got his e tube removed today. He was hospitalized for 5 days at this clinic and they did everything they could to save his life including putting an e tube in.Two weeks ago he was on death's doorstep due being diagnosed with cholangitis, pancreatitis, hepatic encephalopathy, and hepatic lipodosis. Thanks to the vets (especially Dr. Moreno) at Usask Vet Clinic for saving his life! He's back to normal now and is purring a lot, chirping, going in his stroller, cuddly and playing a lot!

Took my kitty in for a UTI. They gently poked and prodded her, weighed her, gave her water, waited for her to pee, and eventually got a sample which confirmed what I already knew. I get to enjoy stuffing a pill and liquids into her every twelve hours for a week. She hates me already but I detect less resistance to the painkiller already - little furry addict. The student and the vet were great and explained everything in minute detail which I appreciated. I don't like how they've decorated the place but it's functional. As you can see, Willow has ptsd now. Seeking referrals to a kitty therapist. Willow’s kitten photos shamelessly added for the squeal factor.

We had to take our puppy here many times over the past few weeks. They were always very kind. Dr. P. was amazing and very detailed in explaining everything. He was also considerate of the costs and didn't push anything on us that he felt was unnecessary. We unfortunately had to put our puppy down a few days ago. The staff was very compassionate and caring. They also made us a clay paw print at no charge. I will be forever grateful for the great care they gave to our puppy Ryder.

Shout-out to the whole clinic but specifically the Oncology Dept. Sophie was diagnosed with lymphoma in August 2022 and although it was overwhelming and I was not sure what to do, when we had her 1st appt. with her oncologist, he was so informative and supportive and I was able to make a clear decision. We proceeded with chemo and once a week for 19 weeks, we were at the clinic for her appt. She handled chemo amazingly (thankfully) and we got an extra 8 months together. Throughout the whole experience, every question I had was answered and every concern I had was taken seriously. They also treated Sophie like royalty every time she came for an appointment and she was never anxious to go (mostly because she knew they had treats). Sophie's oncologist, Dr. L.J. Tseng was knowledgable, caring, and reminded me often that whatever decision I made for Sophie was out of love and was the right decision. Cancer took Sophie on March 30th, 2023, and although it was the hardest decision I have ever made, I made it with no regrets. I knew I (and Dr. L.J) did everything I could for her and she went peacefully. Financially, it was very hard for me but it was worth every penny.

If I could give 0 stars I would. 100% wouldn’t recommend anyone to bring any of their precious animals here. These people do not care about the animals whatsoever. They either overcharge you and don’t completely do their job so you have to go in again hoping they will fix their mistakes, but to my surprise they don’t. They only care about making money and put you in situations where they say they will fix their mistake with no additional charge because they were at fault but you’ll get charged two weeks later. There is no communication whatsoever between the vets and receptionist. Amanda the manager has no idea what is happening in the clinic and doesn’t care all she does as she says she only “makes the prices “ I usually never write reviews even in bad experience because who knows it might have just been the person I was dealing with. But in this situation I feel like people should know that this veterinary clinic is very unsanitary place that rips off people who come in on emergencies. If you do end up going in I would recommend staying with your animal the whole time to make sure that they are wearing gloves especially when cutting into an animal, which is pretty scary since it’s also a teaching hospital. Will never be visiting this place again even if it was the last place open I would rather drive 5 hours for an actual proper animal hospital. I go to the U of S and it’s embarrassing saying that this is our animal hospital.

We had to rush our dog here from Regina and they were really helpful. He was supposed to have a special surgery and they did some tests and monitored him over night. They ended up not doing the surgery and we got a refund. The staff and doctors were very pleasant. We are very thankful to have our dog still with us.

My cat had a serious infection and was hospitalized for days. I was extremely worried and they would not tell me a thing for days at a time meanwhile I'm wondering what is going on with my pet and what the bill will be.Also how they demand money the second you walk in the door is entirely uncomfortable.Other clinics offer alternative payment methods which is very reasonable.I finally got to the point where I drove right to the clinic and demanded my pet back. Then finally the vet came to talk to me and was nice and reasonable. Like geez that wasn't cool. They do good work but multiple staff are incredibly rude despite how kind you may approach them as a customer. Only go here if absolutely necessary.
