Ocean Pacific Marine Supply & Boatyard

Have had my boat into OP twice now for refits. Both times the techs have gone above and beyond in service and advice. Expertise and care are excellent! I highly recommend OP as a shipyard for smaller yachts and DIY boat projects needing a bit of expert guidance and assistance. I was able to ask for help when needed and techs guided me on work I could do myself. Prices are fair and the store has everything one may need.

In late June I had a problem with a badly leaking stuffing box on my 32 ft Bayliner just north of Texada Island on my way from Vancouver to Port McNeil.It was Friday afternoon and the nearest place to pull the boat was Campbell River but everybody I spoke to was too busy to help me until I spoke to Mr Tyrone Monteith at Ocean Pacific.Despite also being fully booked with the weekend approaching fast he went out of his way to be helpful and make positive suggestions about the possibilities of what could be done for us. He then followed up by squeezing my boat lift into the busy schedule and getting the problem fixed so we could be on our way.The excellent technician who fixed the stuffing box (and at the same time replaced my water system accumulator which had concurrently failed) was an affable guy called Mike Dyke.He worked under pressure to get us on our way in time to transit Seymour Narrows at slack but nevertheless did a great job which has held up well over the summer.I was impressed by how things unfolded with Ocean Pacific and am grateful for their advice, help and the service provided, when nobody else was able to help me.They also have one of the best marine stores that I have been in with pretty well everything you might possibly need and also friendly helpful service. It was fun just being in the store!

Very knowledgeable repairman showed up as promised. Todd, thoroughly inspected starting issues, offered and demonstrated numerous solutions. He stated he did not see any reason for us to delay our travels. Best of all, the price was unexpectedly low, for very timely repairs. EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service.

Great service , lots of boat parts in stocks. had some fiberglass work done here , it was pretty steep also wasn't the best finish. Soo probably won't get anymore glass work done here. But overall pretty good company

We had planned on repowering our boat this winter. Unfortunately the old engine and transmission started getting cranky while we were en route to Desolation Sound.We were able to finish our vacation on the boat and decided to follow the BETA Marine distributor's recommendation to have Ocean Pacific repower our boat.OP did a great job, everything from ordering the engine to haul-out, prepping the engine room, checking the shaft, adding supports to the original engine mount, re-pitching the prop (yes we got a bigger engine with more horse power) to the final engine installation, new muffler, new shaft seal, etc..This was the first boat yard we dealt with that covered the galley, chart table and floors with proper protective board before even starting to work on the boat.The yard is clean and well run. Mark Sorensen, the yard manager, was communicative about all aspects of the repower and he even was so kind meet us at the Campbell River airport and give us a ride to the yard when we were ready to pick up the boat.The pricing for the work is very fair! It was the first time dealing with a boat yard where I felt that I received fair value for the work which was performed.We definitely will use Ocean Pacific again. A special shout-out to Lisa, the receptionist and Roland. The guys on the dock were also great. This was the best boat yard experience we have had in all our years of sailing and owning boats.

Sorry to hear thru the Yachting/Commercial Fisher community that new management of Ocean Pacific is causing a downslide in the business. Rumor has it the new management is too lazy to organize the enjoyable boat show!

I used Ocean Pacific Marine for the first time and I couldn't be happier!! Chris was our project manager, I found him to be very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He informed me about new processes and products but I never felt like I was being sold. I have been around boat yards for the last 40 years and I believe this is one of the best.
