Andrea Paul - Birth Services

As one of Andrea'a firs I am happy to share my experiences with her. I had a relatively quick birth (5 hours) and I delivered at home. Andrea arrived promptly and took care of me right away. I was so thankful to have her. She helped me labour right until the end, offering encouraging words when she felt necessary. I couldn't imagine having a successful home birth without her. My favourite trait about Andrea is that she is non judgemental and believes every family is different and adapts to their specific needs. I recommend meeting with her as her infectious personality will do the rest! Thanks doula Andrea for a beautiful experience.

We had such a great experience with our Doula, Andrea Paul. Andrea provided my partner and I with a tremendous amount of information prior to the labour as well as ensured all of our questions and concerns were answered and our minds at ease. With this being my first pregnancy and child, there was a lot I was unsure about and afraid of. Andrea was able to help me get through the fears and ensure I was given the most up to date, accurate information. Andrea was extremely supportive while I was in labour, using certain massage techniques to assist in the pain management and assisting in proper breathing methods. We were extremely lucky with how knowledgeable and caring Andrea was. She really made my pregnancy and labour experience more positive and enjoyable.

Andrea is such a great listener. She helped me process the childbirth trauma I faced and gave me concrete and helpful suggestions regarding the way forward. The vibe I got her from her was so positive and encouraging. I am sure she would make a great partner to have through one's pregnancy and childbirth.

Andrea is such a baby whisperer. She is so great at getting fussy babies calm. Thank you!

I can’t recommend Andrea enough. As a first-time mom, I had so many questions about pregnancy, birth, recovery, and newborn care. From our first meeting, when I was pregnant, Andrea took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I loved being able to text or email her at any time as my pregnancy progressed.Something I appreciated right away was that I felt supported about my decisions with no agenda or judgement about how I wanted my birth to go, what interventions I was ok with, my thoughts on induction, cesarean and medication. So, no matter what your dream birth looks like, Andrea will come with a wealth of knowledge and experience. It was a great comfort to have her on my team.I am grateful my birth went smoothly, but I knew that if things had been more difficult, I would have had the support I needed. Andrea was hands-on during my labour making sure I was comfortable but also supporting my mom who was my other “support person”. I found the nurses even relied on Andrea to help them and she knew what to do at every step. She even took lovely candid photos of the birth. No job was too big or small.The day after I got home from the hospital Andrea came and had a lovely visit with us and we were able to go over breast feeding and things like post-partum care and even how to use my baby carrier.If you are on the fence about hiring a doula, you will not regret having Andrea with you every step of the way!
