Willow House Inn Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I had such a great stay! Brenda and George are amazing hosts and have a really beautiful property! We stayed in the Willow room which was a spacious room, private bathroom and king bed! It was super clean and the breakfast was also delicious! The hosts are very friendly and will happily chat but also leave you to do your thing! We highly recommend! As a tip - you can find a lot of sea glass on the shoreline near the Inn!!

We chose the Willow House Inn as a pit stop on our way to Cape Breton Island. We didn’t expect it to be one of the BEST stays of our two week trip! Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Brenda & George - two of the nicest people you will ever meet! They showed us around the lovely inn, which is beautifully decorated and welcoming to guests. You can tell that the two of them love and care for their inn with all the personal touches which abound. By the end of our tour, we felt we had known them forever, they made us feel so welcome! They also gave wonderful recommendations of where to eat dinner, all of which are walking distance from the inn. We stayed in the Willow Room, which is quite spacious with plenty of room to spread out. The bed was amazing - extremely comfortable mattress and Brenda has chosen the softest sheets - it was like sleeping on a cloud. The beautiful bathroom had high quality towels. In the morning we woke to the smell of fresh muffins baking, which were on our breakfast table when we came down. The breakfast is generous and delicious. There was fresh fruit and yogurt to start, and then we were offered eggs cooked to our liking, served with bacon and toast. The fresh coffee was plentiful as well. There is also a keurig available to guests for early morning or afternoon coffee. They also have wine and beer glasses, as well as water in the fridge, available at all times. There is a lovely sitting area outside with porch swings and a view of the water. Our only regret is that we were only there for a one night stay! We hated to leave! If we ever return to that area, we will absolutely stay at the Willow House Inn again! Thank you Brenda and George for a fabulous stay!

Super welcoming B&B with charm, hosts Brenda and George were amazing! They made us feel like family and were very attentive to details, making sure breakfast was exactly as we wanted it. Room was spacious and comfortable, and the inn is just steps away from the waterfront and main attractions. Great details within the house too - make sure you look up to admire the ceilings! Will definitely stay here again!

The Willow House Inn, which is in a beautiful old house with lots of character, is lovely. As are the hosts, Brenda and George. We were in Pictou to attend a wedding and they accommodated a bit earlier than usual check in so that we could attend on time. Our room was spacious and comfortable as well as quiet. The next morning we were served the best complimentary breakfast we’ve ever had anywhere we’ve ever stayed. It was homemade and delicious. We were even given a tasty blueberry muffin to go. We highly recommend the Willow House. Thank you!

My mother and I had a family event to attend to in Pictou. My aunt recommended the Willow House Inn and we were blown away by the hospitality, attention to detail, helpfulness, and overall love shown to us by Brenda and George. From the breakfasts to the bonfires, Brenda and George are exemplary when it comes to making people from away feel at home. The rooms are clean and quaint, with everything we needed . The views from our rooms were picturesque and the property is stunning. Brenda is an amazing chef and the breakfasts alone were amazing, filling, and homemade. I’d definitely go back!

In all our travels over the years, Willow House ranks one of our two best EVER BnB stays. First, we had no idea how adorable Pictou is! There are so many historical and well loved houses, the Trans-Canadian hiking trail passes through town, and the waterfront is quite nice. Willow House is just a few hundred feet from the water, and some rooms have water views. The gardens are lovely, with fun pieces of art and wonderful rocks hidden around. Oh, we couldn't imagine the five-sided swing but it brings out the child in everyone - it's a delightful place to chat, have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. It was the perfect gathering place! The guest accommodations are also perfect, warm and so comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts are unbelievably good, and very filling. But without doubt what brings this magical experience to life are the hosts, Brenda and George. They are incredibly warm and welcoming, tons of fun, and they both infuse Willow House with love and kindness. We arrived as guests but felt like we left as true friends. It was honestly so hard to leave!

Lovely small inn in Pictou, very comfortable bed and linens, very clean and nicely decorated. You can enjoy the gardens and sitting area with a view of the water. Breakfast was good and generous. Loved the avocado toast. George and Brenda make you feel at home.
