My 10 yr old darling Maggy, a beautiful Coton de Tulear, was overdue for a grooming because I had to cancel her appointment with her regular groomer. So, I made an appointment with Pennybrooke and left very clear and specific instructions. Along with hairstyle instructions, including a picture of how long I wanted her hair to be, I specifically said Do Not cut her nails as they had just been done 2 weeks prior by the vet at her check up!For 10 years I've made sure that not a single nail was cut too short as I once made that mistake with a previous pet dog, and swore I would never let it happen again! For 30 years I have always trimmed my dogs nails and cleaned their teeth. Maggy’s Vet says that she has the teeth of a 1 year old..and it's true. They are white and without any tartar! Maggy has trusted me her whole life to groom her without pain.When I saw Maggy's hair cut from Pennybrooke I was utterly shocked and speechless. It was terrible. It was terribly short; all of her hair was completely cut off the top of her head; her ears were shorter than her face; the backs of her ears had chunks missing, and the hairline all along the undersides of her legs and underside of her tummy including her pee pee area was untouched!! Completely ungroomed!! But THE WORST THING OF ALL AND THE MOST UPSETTING was that, when I got home and looked over her entire hair cut in detail ie. ears, foot pads etc., I was horrified to discover that she not only cut Maggy’s nails against my clear instructions, but that she cut one nail so short that she still had blood on it along with iodine powder that she used to try and 'stop' the bleeding. My darling Maggy suffered trauma for the first time in her life because this groomer ignored my direct instructions. When I called her and asked her, 'did I not ask you to not cut her nails?', she replied 'yes but they were a little long"!' 10 years of careful grooming to ensure I continued to have Maggy’s trust has been wiped out because Pennybrooke ignored my clear instructions to simply NOT CUT HER NAILS! I was so upset that I considered sueing Pennybrooke. I've allowed 2+ weeks to pass

They are so good with my Border collie. He is a bit nervous, but he likes going to Pennybrooke. He comes out of trimmed up clean and fluffy. They don't take all day to get it done and the prices are very reasonable.

Top notch groomer for incredible prices! Karryann is such a sweetheart you can see the immense amount of love she has for dogs. My dogs have been going to Karryann for years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. She grooms just 1 dog at a time and does not kennel them. She listens to every detail I spew but most importantly, the dogs love her.

Kerry-Anne is amazing, and really loves her fur clients. My puppy loves going there and recently Kerry-Anne was very professional and patient with my older dog who was quite stressed to be there. Your fur babies are in excellent, loving hands at Pennybrooke!
