Silverthorn Collegiate Institute

Ever since the new principal came to this school, he made it a lot worse. He makes dumb rules such as the bathroom restrictions and wastes our school budget.He doesn’t do anything but walks around the halls like he’s the hall monitor.

If you went to the school orientation for grade 9s and the teacher said this school is GREAT, he told us he was forced to say that and we all hate this school. Go to Michael power instead

As someone who is attending silverthorn right now I’m here to give an honest opinion.This school is a dump that no one should even consider going too.Worst teachers and the school bathroom is torn down and has ppl vaping in it 24/7.Find somewhere else for a better education, trust me on this. If I was in charge I’d have this school torn down. Absolutely hate it and I’m considering to go somewhere else.

Once you enter they strip you down and oil you up. Made that mistake one too many times.

This school is terrible.The bathrooms are torn down and theres people vaping in it 24/7. Most of the glass on the doors are cracked, way too many smokers in the back of the school and those smokers in the school triggered the fire alarm FOUR TIMES THIS YEAR.Just go someplace else please. As a current student here I hate it every day.

Excellent. I had the opportunity to meet with the Principal and Vice Principal.Both were extremely professional and polite. Proud of our educators.

As a current student in this school, I would HIGHLY recommend to look elsewhere if you’re looking for good education for your children.First, this may or not matter, but the school feels extremely impoverished, especially the bathrooms. They don’t even have soap and some stalls don’t even have toilet paper.Most of the teachers are unprofessional and seems like they don’t want to be here.For example, Ms. Shah (Math teacher) can’t teach properly and I heard she skipped a bunch of units (which is CRUCIAL for continuing math next year)Most of the students are careless and rude, now of course this doesn’t apply to everyone, but overall, too many vapers, too many druggies and overall a bad school environment. I know a bunch of people who want to switch since this school is terrible.Overall, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. I know many people (including myself) who regret going to this school.
