After some not so good, Huntsville Vetranarian experience's we think we have found a good honest one. We will be switching to Chidiac for our two remaining dogs

Although vets are absolutely swamped. We had about 10 rejections due to availability. Chidiac was able to fit us in for an ear infection. It's a bit of a drive for is but we will be keeping them as a regular.

Imagine getting FIRED for being abrupt when questioning price and quote changes? Complaining about lack of communication and told my expectations of Service wasn't something they could continue to offer. I wasn't given an opportunity to discuss with the Owner, sent a registered Letter to both myself and husband (who never attends, on occasion to help me, I own my Purebred Show Dogs) until I finally got the Owner to answer her cell phone (been with them for over 10 yrs) and she wasn't changing her mind. She was protecting her Staff's mental health and wellness?? A Staff claims I was yelling? I advised calling on a cell phone from a vehicle with my voice raised because of over 4 miscommunications in one visit, lack of service for being charged something unexpected above a quote in one visit was not acceptable. Being nickeled and dimed each time prices getting higher and told I should have known to ask ahead of time for something I hadn't been charged for before i.e. email an x-ray to me, now charged for? I had a Good repor with the Office Mngr and was able to complain about all the miscommunications the next day and it was fine. Then I get THE LETTER" I was insulted

The staff are spectacular from reception to veterinarian. I hadn't been here before today but had an urgent situation with my pooch. So kind and gentle with my little chihuahua! (Who will be just fine after her treatment :))This will be our regular place from here on out! I highly recommend bringing your pet to Chidiac.

I was renting a cottage near Orillia when my dog came down with what appeared to be an ear/eye infection - a lot of scratching, irritation, and discharge. Everywhere in Orillia was booked for weeks, so I found this clinic and was able to get an appointment, and I'm extremely glad I did.I was extremely concerned about leaving my dog alone with a new vet. He doesn't always react well to being handled, so pre-COVID, I never let him out of my sight. Obviously not an option now! They did an excellent job with him and spoke to me on the phone to ensure he was doing ok. They were gentle and not pushy, and gave excellent medical care as well.

Because I questioned why My dog needed a Wellness Check with a rabies shot as she was there just 3 months before they kept sending email alerts I was told that it was a mandatory direction from the College of veterinary. I said I’m a senior you just checked her , she had just been groomed, didn’t need ears or nails done why was it necessary. It’s another $100 fee. I contacted the College and they sent me the information and regulations. It is discretionary on a Vet Clinic if they feel the need, if they thought the dog required it. It was not mandatory! Next thing we know we received a registered letter stating they would no longer provide vetnary care. So it’s about the money. This vet has looked after our pets for years. This dog was a rescue and had been there twice in 9 months. She was also being seen for her eyes by another vet in Midland. How many times must you keep paying! We had issues with Chidiac before not being there for our other dog and they had asked us to come back. Very disappointed in them. Find yourself a vet that isn’t always about these unnecessary and/or hyped up expenses! I could see if it had been a year but 3 or 4 months come on!

So grateful to this attentive, friendly bunch of professionals for staying almost an hour after closing time (7pm) to help my dog who decided to eat a huge brownie this evening. My experiences at Chidiac are always incredible and I can't believe the time they take to make so many caring follow-up calls. The complimentary drinks/snacks are highly appreciated by my 24/7-treat-seeking kids!

Worst experience of our lives!! Serious money grab type of place.- no confidentiality-bullying people-power trips from the vets- Huge racial issues and lack of acknowledgement for beliefs.- conflict of interest issues if anyone there knows you.I am putting a complaint in with the college of veterinarians to hopefully avoid anyone else having to go through what we did with this completely unprofessional company.I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

We moved to the area and had heard horror stories about trying to find a new vet BUT Janine was marvelous when I called because our 12.5 year old dog Bentley was having issues.They got him in and had his records transferred from his previous vet and they did all this in five business days.They are friendly, knowledgeable and take the time to ensure you have all the information you need to make the proper decisions for your pets well being.They really care about your furry family member and that helps put your mind at ease knowing they are in loving hands.They follow C-19 protocols by having you bring your pet to the door, one customer at a time.Thank you all so very much.
