Sportsman's Inn on the Harbour Front
This was our second stay at the Sportsman. The rooms have been upgraded, clean and tidy. The best part is the proximity to the marina. We just get off the boat and walk over to our room ! We’re coming back next year.

Sportsman's Inn on the Harbour Front
This is a motel. My room was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the water in the shower was hot. There was a microwave and a small fridge plus a coffeemaker. The location is quiet and the it's only 5 minutes walk to the ferry for both Sointula and Alert Bay. Looks like the best place to stop in Port McNeill to me. Nearby are the world's biggest burl and the Port McNeill museum.

Nicely renovated rooms. Very spacious with large bathroom and comfortable bed. Separate sitting area with tv and fridge and microwave. No phone in the room. Check-in is done at the Gus' pub next door.

Great Area, Rooms were a little worn out. Were visting in a hear wave. Rooms were extremely hot. No AC.

The room was very nice with a separate seating area and a bedroom. Unfortunately nobody to call if there is a problem. No A/C or a fan, it was really hot the first night. Nobody changed the towels ( we were there for 3 days). If the reason was Covid then leave more towels. The wifi didn't work on 2 different phones and a tablet. I would expect better on a room that cost on average $186 per night. Now on a positive note, my wife has an allergy to down bedding and they purchased other bedding and put it in our room. And advised us by email.

Stayed for one night during peak season for work. Staff was quite helpful, the room was very nicely renovated and clean. While the view from the room wasnt of much note, the marina just across the street provided a spectacular sunset.

Sportsman's Inn on the Harbour Front
Nice rooms at a reasonable price. Our room had a view over the marina and on a clear day to the rockies on the mainland. The room itself was clean and had a separate living room from the bedroom. Avoid room 7 as there is a ventilation duct attached to it's outside wall which will cause loud vibration noises in the room. Restaurant downstairs was really good.

This hotel makes you say Never judge a book by it's cover". Outside seem shady but inside rooms are freshly renovated with views. Charges were decent and check in was painless"

These guys took a reservation for us via Expedia but when we showed up, they didn’t have a room for us. Also, it looked like a real dump. There is no staff and they make you visit some bar next door to check in. They tried to blame Expedia for the mix up but it was pretty obvious to me that this was just a slimy place and they had decided to rent our reserved room to someone else.

Sportsman's Inn on the Harbour Front
Checked in at the Gus restaurant which is just accros the street. Everything went smooth. Room is clean and very spacious. There is also a small table and chairs outside. Would definitely recommend.
