Luke's Auctions

Exceptional customer service, I was expecting to be on my own moving a heavy item to my car - staff were more than happy to help me take care of it. Also there was a cat, I'm not sure what more you could want out of an encounter.

luke auctions is the worst, they had an online auction to end at 7am and i made sure to stay up/wake up early to bid along with others. i was able to acquire a few lots ad right before the bidding ended, they extended the time for an additional 11 more hours before closing therefore allowing more people bid higher than what it already closed for. its not fair to the people that are taking their time to give them money for a very unpleasant service. i know auction houses can be shady but they should at least send emails to bidders letting them know that the auction will be extended hours before it even started. i am super disappointed with what they did.

Very few auction houses will mention the flaws in their items. Lukes auctions always highlights if there are any issues with their items. They are dependable and friendly. Some of the helping cres are very good and some wont help you load. You have to get lucky who is helping you. They always give you items boxed and packed . Very professional auction house.

Perhaps the best auctioneers in Ontario. Three major things Lukes Auctions does. 1. They are honest. Always disclose wear tear marks stains or items that need attention. 2. They clean stuff and sell. No dirt, grease or any stainers. 3. They help you load and the small items are always packed. Besudes, they are helpful in mire than one way, friendly. Otter negative remarks are by people you can never please.Highly recommended

Great auction house! Been dealing with lukes for around 7 years now... they are professional... friendly & fair... a lot of our kitchen items bedroom furniture & patio furniture have come from Luke's... we always watch the online auctions! Keep up the great work

I've been dealing with Passmores/Luke's auctions for almost 30 years, both as a buyer and a seller, and it has gone smoothly every time. Luke is an honest auctioneer that runs a true auction with no reserve. He has a wicked sense of humor, sometimes a little off colour, but I love it. His wife complements him nicely. They are a good team with a hard working staff. They bring in a nice variety of items each month. I would recommend this auction house to anyone.

I’ve bought many things over the years and always been very happy. I recently purchased a mattress and brought it home, unloaded it and noticed mold in a pretty large patch on the side. Things from there are not always perfect and I know this. The mattress had some dirt ontop which was not an issue. I called and notified them about the mold and they basically said it was inspected and no mold was seen so that’s it. It’s just very unfortunate for me because like I said I’ve purchesed many things and know that they are not perfect but the fact that it had mold on it and they didn’t care was very disappointing to me. I unfortunately will not be back.(In response to owners response)It’s currently sitting on my front lawn waiting for the garbage truck as I have no use for a mattress with mold. I offered to bring it in yesterday when you guys were there so you could take a look and that was not an option. I will leave pictures that I took so you can see. I am not a complainer and understand as I said that things are not in perfect condition. And I also understand how it may have been overlooked but when I call and make you aware of a issue that i would of hoped you would have been concerned with, the least you could have done was take a look at it. I would have even been happy with a credit to use at the auction at a future time. It’s also really sad to me being a business owner myself that I had to leave this review and get a response that should have happened in the first place.

Absolutely a horrible experience, I don’t even want to keep the lots I initially bid on. Be careful if you want to bid with them! — The auction was already closing for the past hour (From 7am - 7:58am) and instead of letting the lots that closed, and the ones about to close finish. They paused the auction then suddenly open all the lots that originally closed and increase the time to another 11hrs with the highest bids still on the items! The worst part, the didn’t do it before the auction closed, they also didn’t notify anybody. I won multiple lots at the time and a lot of other lots were also closing for $100+ but now since they extended the time I may not even get to keep the lots I spent my time & energy on and, they could potentially increase even higher.

Amazing Staff so helpful and kind. Great quality furniture and other items at great prices. I’ve been able to redecorate my kitchen and living room at unbelievable prices with amazing quality items that I used to pay top dollar for at retail stores. Please take some time & talk to Sue & Luke on a personal level you will know & feel their heart & soul for their business & their customers. They always try to get the most for their consignees but depending on the crowd that doesn’t always happen! Thank you so much Luke & Sue & Staff for all your hard work!Tammy and Tim

Very poor communications, both from Luke's and from their shipper, Mike. Witholding final judgement until I actually recieve my purchase and can compare it with the original listing description.
