Island Foot Clinics – Kelowna

Terrible experience. Arrived 3:50pm, August 1st. stood in line for 10 minutes to check in.Got lucky and found a place to sit. For an hour I got the pleasure of listening to the secretary trying to contact people to cancel their appointments for later that day, last appt 6;15pmBy 5pm other patients started talking, and they had 2 people me and one lady both for 4pm. The 4:10 appt, a lady was out the door, I should have left too. 5:10 i get in for my 4pm appt, 30 second look at my feet. All he did was take his shoes off, show me his orthopedic insoles, explained how they changed his life. $599 for 1 pair 1k for 2 pair. 2 minutes it took him to do his sales pitch. So disappointed. and out $75 for first time visitor fee. Still in pain..Off work as standing on a ladder all day is out.

If you have a problem with your feet this is the place to go. Everyone is so kind and so helpful and the doctor was amazing. He was so calm and talked me through everything and made a rather painful experience kinda nice. 10 outta 10 would go again and highly recommended!!!

Cost me $250 to get a Cortizone shot for my planters fasciitis. I’ve seen other foot specialists that gave me the Cortizone shots several time into my foot and each time it worked however that doctor was away on holidays so that’s how I ended up at Island PodiatryHe gave me one shot in the foot and I looked at him and said are you sure that’s enough because I usually get three or four injections needless to say the end one Injection did not work and he did not want to redo it without paying another $250. Not happy at all with his services.

I went to see Dr. Hollingsworth because of a sore and swollen middle toe. He did a very quick exam of my foot and told me I needed orthotics. He did a 2 minute measurement of my foot, charged $600 for the orthotics and wasn’t even present in the office when I came for the fitting.Subsequent to wearing the orthotics for 2 months I went to my doctor as the toe was no better. Had an xray and discovered what the problem was and the orthotics were not required. What a scam he runs.Old dirty office, running late for appointments and a very cursory exam that didn’t get to the root of the problem.

I have had sore feet for some time, the podiatrist I saw at Island Foot Clinics in Delta was very informative. He took the time to answer all my questions. In short order following his advise I am again able to hop out of bed and start my day Foot pain free.

My husband had a terrible hang nail he has been dealing with for 3 years now with all sorts of antibiotics and creams that have been prescribed as it is constantly infected. After a visit to urgent care on the Friday we called around on the Monday and KPG got us in for 430 that day! Not many podiatrists in Kelowna do these procedures anymore! He had his hangnail removed by Dr. Dowell who was the most friendliest, down to earth, and calming presence! He made my husband feel at ease as he faints with blood and needles, did the job, and it has made a world of difference for him in just 2 short weeks after. We cannot recommend this place enough!!!!! Dr. Dowell is new to Kelowna and he is a gift for what he does for patients. Thank you Dr. Dowell, Harry is feeling great!

Dr.David Dowell was very patient, understanding, and supportive. I unfortunately had a very traumatic experience ten years ago when trying to have an ingrown removed at a different office. Because of this experience, I was absolutely terrified of having the ingrown toe nail procedure done again. I explained my past experience to Dr. David Dowell and he was very empathetic and listened to my concerns and fears. He talked me through the whole procedure and answered all the questions I had. I was very close to fainting after the numbing but Dr. David Dowell was very supportive. He made sure I knew I could take a break at anytime and got me, a cold compress, water, etc when I was not feeling well.I don't normally write reviews but Dr.David Dowell really is one of a kind. Thank you Dr. Dowell!

One star is not fair to Dr.Dowell as he was excellent and really knew his stuff. But the front office staff is completely unprofessional, checking messages and patient conversations on speaker phone with other patients in the waiting room, booking appointment for orthotics and not being open at the appointment time, orthotics themselves not fitted by the doctor or anyone at all, and having to size and cut them myself. For the $600+ charge for the orthotics, the service and support was extremely lacking.

So not impressed. I think Dr Snowsell would be smart to get his name off the business. Snowsell was great. Dr Hollingsworth hardly even touches your feet then says to get the $600+ orthotics that don't help at all. Then makes you tape your feet for weeks at a time trying to fix them. Won't give your money back even tho they don't work. He gets his assistant to do all the work even tho she's not a Dr. Today I ran into another woman who is going through the exact same things with her feet and this Dr.Went back again and spoke to Dr Hollingsworth. He ended up giving me some of my money back. Ended up buying $30 orthotics at Dycks pharmacists and no pain.

Great service! Doctor Hollingsworth is hilarious! He explained everything as he was scanning my feet and talked me through the orthodics. Doctor Hollingsworth was very quick about scanning my feet, which I really appreciated. My husband has been using orthodics from the Foot Clinic for years. He can't go more than a day without them because he says they relieve him of all pain. I am trying them out for the first time with hopes that the orthodics will help with my hip pain.
