Do not recommend. I have been to this clinic twice. My first visit was for vaccines. It took over an hour and I was charged an additional $120 for an exam fee and another $65 for an ear test. These costs were not shared with me until I received the bill. I trust these tests were done as no information was shared with me except that he could put on a few pounds and that he had a bad ear infection, which was very clear and I shared that with his vet before dropping him off.I decided to try them again 2 weeks later and things got even worse. I was charged another exam fee without asking me in advance. I raised my concern because he just had one 2 weeks earlier and very little would have changed. I was told that this 2nd exam is mandatory before receiving his booster shot to make sure he doesn't have issues like INFECTIONS because then it would be unsafe to give the vaccine. 2 weeks earlier I paid for the test, was told he has a severe inner ear infection and they gave him 4 vaccines that day.In addition to these things, I made it clear that my dog has an unknown food allergy during my first visit. During the second visit the vet called me and during our conversation, she told me how much my dog loved the treats she was feeding him. She clearly didn't check the file and my guy spent the night scratching like crazy.I spoke with the manager who made me pay the bill in full. I paid it and told her I wouldn't be returning. Hopefully this review can help you avoid similar issues.Oh and I asked for the results of the ear test and was never provided with any information. Now I'm left guessing if the infection is still there after 2 weeks of treatment. Lovely.

Cannot reccomend this place to anyone in need of personal assistance with your puppy.Just got off the phone with them telling me they have to end the conversation because I was being disrespectful. When I asked what have I said that was disrespectful they disregarded that and said they have to end the call. To give context, today my puppy woke up with her led hindered and so she couldn't put her leg on the floor, I called to speak with her vetenarian and the receptionist told me she would try to have her call me, took the whole day (7 hours) until I called them back asking if could speak to the vet. The receptionist placed me on a 7 minute hold and came back telling me that she spoke with Lucy's vet in the meantime and according to their records they could not prescribe her the medicine she needs to reduce the swelling of her reoccurring injury (which is fine I understand), but when I said that I would like to speak to the vet personally she placed me on a hold to see if this can be done. The receptionist came back after another hold of 5 mins and told me she has to end the call because I was being disrespectful even though all I wanted to do is talk personally with Lucy's (my puppy) vet. Never did I swear or yelled although I am on the verge of crying at the lack of respect I got today from the girl at the desk (her tone and accusations of me being aggressive did not seem to empathize with the nature of my call at all). For more context as to why I wanted to talk to the vet personally: the last time Lucy had an ankle injury they (bridge street vet) refused service (for being too busy) and I ended up at the animal energency hospital with a large bill for them to tell me it was a minor injury.

Referred by our local vet. Service and staff were both excellent. Had a bit of a wait but that's expected at an emergency clinic. Reasonably easy to find. Ample parking on site.

My cat was in critical condition. Dr Buhrows cordinated his care at the emergency vet clinic and kept me updated on his progress. Once he no longer needed 24 hour care, he went to Bridge Street Veterinary Hospital. The care he got there was incredible and they did not do anything that was not necessary. I was kept updated each step of the way , they me sent pictures of my cat to show how he was doing. I can't say enough good things about this vet hospital. The staff are all great and supportive. My cat is home and on the road to full recovery.

They are very quick to upsell their services as if they are trying to hit a dollar target for each patient. Every time I visit them I walk out with 5-8x on top of the actual appointment cost, even if it’s a regular visit. It’s quite bluntly & honestly like a MR LUBE for pets. Nobody really knows what they are doing except up selling aggressively. My pet insurance will deny coverage for regular things and on the other hand this place milks as much as possible. No pet owner wants their pet to suffer & they paint this picture very well to capitalize on it, like the other 7/10 vets. Customer service is an essential part of the job but it’s not the entire job. Pet care, timely appointments and follow-ups, and business ethics are equally important. My pet suffers after an unsuccessful treatment while my pocket suffers from their over-the-top charges. Driving a bit and hopefully finding a decent clinic is a better alternative.

I just moved to Waterloo and recently suffered the loss of my beloved Dog, heart broken and not sure I could ever replace him, But I needed something to love and care for.. I did some research and fell In love with a Sphynx breed.. I soon found our little princess.. now these cats are just not normal cats so looking got a special vet was important... I happen to stumble upon these guys.. now I didn't know they had sphynx experience but I was pleased with the reviews they had in general! Not only do they have experience, but some of the staff even own this unique cat! So happy to find this place ☺

I want to begin this review by sharing the facts, the manager took the time to review with me my concerns, and mentioned Kristen will be spoken to about this. However the need to share with the public is imminent when beings continue to be refused proper service. My opinion on how I feel I was treated is irrelevant, this establishment has posted signs for attendants to wear a mask, however you can not attend. When questioned about a discretionary process that is causing further health ailments to patients I was presented with arrogance, ignorance, and ultimately disrespect.I have waited to book my dog King in until after phase 3 to ensure I can enter the building with him. Last time I could not and he was refused certain services (nail clipping) that are essential to him as a dog with foot and skin irritations. Secondly they refused to renew his prescription for drops without seeing him although this is a prescription he has been on for 3 years, this is why he was brought in last time. This time around I callbook the appointment last weekfor this week. Although I generally don't wear a mask I saw their sign and put one on. Upon trying to enter the door was locked, which I found odd but it is a smaller establishment and to avoid overcrowding I understood.Kristen came to the door where she mentioned they aren't letting people in. I immediately requested reasoning as my mask was on and we are in phase 3 here in Waterloo. She went back in and returned with the option for me to watch through the window while they perform the service in side. Now let's break that down, a dog with their owner outside a window...would that make them more calm? Definitely not, in fact the barrier is proven to provoke anxiety with unknown surroundings. He needed a check up and his nails clipped. Due to the allergies and anxiety his feet are constantly broken out in Eczema like patches. As mentioned King has severe anxiety. He has been treated here for over a year pre covid and still to this day has the exact same issues. Which I digress he has a lot of allergies and anxiety. When returning today and expressing that my dog can not be neglected further Kristen began relaying inaccurate details of our account.1. Our dog has never been refused nail clipping due to the condition of his feet, only has he ever been refused for non essential service during COVID2.She claimed they had imagery to support this, they do have extensive imagery due to documentation of the change in his feet, every check up, pictures. Not to prove why they couldn't give service to document any change-when I mentioned she was inaccurate and gave facts she retracted her statement. This happened with 3 different statements.3.When directing the staff to please provide me with the product I preordered and his file documents so I may leave I was presented with the wrong order. Left on the ground where Kristen returns inside without the incorrect order.4.I asked her to take the product instead of leaving it outside as I would not be purchasing the wrong product. Grabbing the bag Kristen turned around to return inside this time shouting that we don't have another bag for you" and locking the door behind herAgain my opinion on how I feel I was treated is irrelevant

I have been bringing my dog to BSVH for seven years. The evaluation and treatment of our dog has always been very good. The cost is on the higher side but the care and follow up service is worth it. I would recommend this veterinary hospital.
