Jack The Barber

Been going to see Jack for over a year now. No one cut my hair and beard correctly until I let Jack give it a try!

Jack is a very good barber. Super nice guy, great pricing and always great conversation.

I'm a stylish 52 year old professional female who was in Stratford for the theater festival and realized I was overdue for a haircut. I am also not a big fan of paying a huge amount for a haircut (I find that price rarely correlates to talent/skill, and $10 cuts can be as good as a $80 ones, if you find the right person). And, that said, I HATE gender discrimination in the pricing of haircuts. Jack, bless his soul, has ONE price for adults $18, and charges $16 for kids or elderly folks... $6 for beards. I'm from Chicago. He gave me a quick trim the results of which I am COMPLETELY happy with ... in and out in about 20 minutes.He won't wash your hair, so make sure you wash it right before coming in so he can just wet it down. Cash only.

Walked in twice and said he was booked both times. That is fine but could have asked if I would like to book an appointment. I guess he doesn't care for more business since he is already full. Now I will never go back because of his attitude.

Jack is super friendly, easy to talk to, gives a great haircut at a great price which always leaves room for a great tip!

The staff was really friendly. I was wanting a hot shave but apparently they don't do that. Overall, it was a great place.

Yes, you have to book with good barbers!!! To those other reviews on here. Jack is excellent and therefore booking is required. Great cut and I am fussy.

At first he did a great haircut, but each time I went back he spent more and more time chatting/singing, and less time actually cutting my hair. The last time was 5 minutes cutting, 25 minutes singing, and that was it for me. He also doesn't accept credit or debit, only cash, and being a cash-only business in 2023 tells me he's probably not paying all his income taxes.

Heard good things about this Barber and keep trying to make an appointment but no one answers the phone.
