This place is a must stop when you are doing some shopping on the main street!Not pictured was the freshest big potion bruschetta I've ever had at a restaurant.Amazing pasta, make sure to get a dessert too. So fresh. You will be taking leftovers home for sure!

First time my husband has been there he loved it. Service is beyond outstanding. The atmosphere is calm quiet. We were impressed how anyone who walked in without a reservation was still offered a table and treated very well. The food was amazing. Highly recommended.

Very good! Service was great, very friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was nice, it smells so good when you walk in, it's a great place for a nice dinner.The food was wonderful, well seasoned, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I tried the lobster ravioli, which was really good.I'd recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice Italian meal. It's more than worth a visit if you are in the area.The construction should be done this summer (2023) which will make getting there a tad smoother.

Beautiful location and a nice little restaurant. The calamari was delicious and the pasta had a nice traditional feel. Really looking forward to trying some more of the menus some day.

Once again, we had a fabulous lunch at Cafe Postino. I highly recommend this place for a casual lunch or festive dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. The owner Steve Falsetto makes sure everyone is welcome and looked after.

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience at Postino. The waiter we had was fantastic and very accommodating.The food was very good, of the two dishes I’d recommend the Veal ala Marsala, the chicken parmigiana was good but a little bit to much cheese for my liking, everyone has different preferences.The building this restaurant is in is gorgeous, fantastic atmosphere.Thanks!

I am so disgusted by how my husband and I were treated tonight. My husband made a reservation the day before, and we showed up tonight to dine. My husband is a retired vet with PTSD from serving overseas. He requires a service dog to go out, as he finds it difficult to be around people. He has worked very hard for years to get the courage to do outings, but he has found life again because of his sweet service dog.When we arrived tonight, we were TOLD by the older woman seating us that it would be best for the dog to sit close to the door, in the bench seating. Sitting by the door is very difficult, as there is a lot of traffic. I asked to sit at another table, and she then told us that it would be best for the dog to sit by the door. I informed her that this was a service dog, and she had no right to tell us where we should sit. She then said “Well you can’t sit there, it was reserved earlier”. Funny how she didn’t say that in the first place until I challenged her, and we reserved Easter day, not “earlier”. At first we just sat down, but we felt her manner was so appalling. She was so rude, and condescending, and treated my husband and I like we had no right to be there. Without saying a word, we got up and left. We won’t ever be back, and if will do our best to tell everyone we know how disgusted we were in her treatment.I know service dogs in a restaurant are a sensitive subject for some, but think of my husbands personal sacrifice, and what he has suffered. She’s an excellent service dog. She lays at his feet, doesn’t move, and NEVER shakes. She gives him to courage to engage in a world that has been such a demon for him for so long. Shame on her, and her behaviour.

Cafe Postino is in the old and very beautiful old post office building of Almonte - it's almost worth going just for the atmosphere and history of the place. Service was excellent - friendly and efficient and overall it's got a high end but quite relaxing feel. Reasonable sized but not overly extensive menu which is normally a good thing plus some decent wines though nothing from Ontario unfortunately though I could have missed this tbf.Pork loin was a very good size and well cooked but I was somewhat disappointed by the size of the vegetables as I think I had perhaps not even half a dozen small potatoes and a fairly small portion of broccolini though I wasn't so bothered by the latter but overall still enjoyable. Tiramisu was certainly pleasant but somewhat 1 dimensional in flavour - if I closed my eyes I don't know if I could've really distinguished it as being a tiramisu as it didn't taste of coffee to me at all. It was fine but I wouldn't get it again - the chocolate cake looked very good though.Overall if you live in Almonte or nearby definitely worth getting to for a special occasion every now and again - it's got that kind of feel and obviously the prices to match.
