Mastery School of Music

My daughter has studied piano, voice, and guitar at Mastery School Of Music. Her experience is very satisfying with the school and the various teachers whom she worked with. The teachers are very professional, dedicated, and patience with the learning journey of students. The school manager and the administrator are very organized and flexible in terms of matching students with the right teacher and overall, the school provides lots of opportunities for students to make them more passionate and motivated towards learning music. One additional positive things about Mastery School of Music is that it doesn’t have any age restrictions for music learners.

I have been teaching at Mastery School of Music for about 10 years now. It’s been such a joyful journey for me as a professional musician and an enthusiastic piano teacher. The school offers a whole year plan of musical classes, both in groups and private sessions, for students all ages. All the teachers are highly educated professionals who are well qualified for high quality musical education. Meanwhile, there are at least 4 to 5 concerts per semester for students in all levels to share their performances and learn from each other. It is a very safe and pleasant place for students of all ages to pursue their musical dreams.

Overall really good experience. Olga, the owner, is really good at finding a good teacher that fits the best for your learning style. Teachers are wonderful, trough last 8 years we have been exposed to different musical instructors in various areas, piano, voice, violín, guitar. There are at learst 2 garage bands running, Tyler (guitar teacher) is a magician who can organize group of 12 kids in to a functional rock band, great chance to work with other musicians. Highly recommended!

Our experience with Mastery school of music has been one of the best experiences in my sons life and as a mom some of my proudest moments.Our son has loved his time at Mastery over the past five years . He played Drums with Thomas who is an amazing percussionist and teacher then he carried on to also taking up acoustic guitar and then electric guitar. His guitar teacher Tyler is truly gifted. He is so good at teaching and relating to the children , my son loved coming to and practicing for his classes . He joined the garage band which was “ super cool” .In our dealings with all the staff it was always pleasant, professional and extremely sincere . If anyone asked of a music school recommendation it would be Mastery. My two children have been learning music here since Summer 2018. My son started learning guitar and band first, then added piano and music theory. My daughter has been learning piano and music theory. What I love most about Mastery Schools is that they love organizing concerts that give students of all levels the opportunity to perform. I think the music curriculum of this school is very comprehensive, the teachers are highly professional, and the teaching environment is comfortable and convenient.The front desk service of this school is relatively simple and efficient, basically doing things in accordance with the regulations. So if you like a very flexible schedule, I don't think this is the place for you. Regarding music grades, you only need to talk to your teacher about your learning goals. Their school will not push you, because the whole school seems to have a very relaxed atmosphere，so I think you can feel it yourself, whether it is the style you like.

We have been with Mastery School of Music for about 10 years. My oldest child took guitar and singing and younger started few years ago with piano and singing. We love the school, my older child had same amazing guitar teacher for 10 years! The school staff and management always been super accommodating with any changes or concerns we had and always looked for solutions to help us and eventually resolved it successfully. Living at Wesbrook, I think having this school in the neighborhood gives busy parents the convenience and great resources to introduce their kids to music. Trusting with both of my kids for over 10 years resulted in many positive experiences and provided necessary confidence to be consistent, enjoy music and perform. I definitely would recommend this great school to anyone!

I have had the pleasure of teaching at the Mastery School of Music for the past five years. I really appreciate the schools emphasis on providing a well-rounded music education, through both private lessons and group theory/ear training classes. It is one of the only music schools in Vancouver that offers report cards at the end of each year and provides numerous opportunities for students to perform at various recitals, including a chamber recital in which students perform duets or in small groups. We have a Mastery School Certificate Program where students are able to take achievement exams directly at the school, alongside a 100 day practice challenge and medal program that helps students choose extra-musical projects outside of their traditional music education path in fields such as music history or general arts. As the instructor for the early music education program, I can proudly say we offer music classes to students from the age of 18 months and up. I am personally looking forward to the upcoming Halloween and Canadian music recitals happening soon.

My daughter has been taking piano and theory lessons at Mastery for more than 3 years. The teachers are professional and patient. My daughter loves her teachers and enjoys the lessons. We are definitely to see my daughter like to play piano, and also solve the problem of sight reading. Her piano teacher not only taught her how to play the piano well, but also taught her a lot in life. The administrator is also nice and helpful. The school offers performance opportunities for the students as well. This is an amazing music school.

My daughter has been taking piano and music theory classes here for more than a year now. She likes her teachers and enjoys every class. It is nice that the school provides many opportunities of recitals through out the year. They have helped my daughter to build up the confidence and keep her interest in music in general.

My sons have taken lessons from the Mastery School of Music for a couple of years. They have a good selection of teachers of different teaching styles, and we can choose or change to a teacher to fit our kids' personalities and styles of learning. They also have frequent concerns and rehearsals for the students to practice for. It gave my kids goals to work on, and also get the idea of making music for a larger audience. The teachers we had are very open to communication and patient. We are very happy here.
