Veterans Commemorative Park
Whilst the Memorial itself is lovely, there are several negatives that take away from the experience. Firstly, and despite the many signs warning about fines for littering, and probably because there aren't any garbage cans around, there is garbage all around the parking lot. Secondly, it is abundantly clear that the area next to the parking lot is being used as an outdoor toilet. Lastly, it's about time that the faded, tattered Canadian flag is replaced.

Small, beautiful, and quiet park off the 416. Perfect for a quiet picnic or dog walk (on leash). Lots of open space and parking.

Nice place to stop to stretch the legs. Awesome memorial there as well. Missing garbage cans tho.

Veterans Commemorative Park
A beautiful memorial that was erected in 2000 along the Veterans Highway. Each year all legions from zone G gather to pay their respects here. There are picnic tables for a luncheon and it’s also a car pooling facility with a payphone which you don’t see very often.

Nice quiet place however I found dog not on leash which prevented us from taking our child to the memorial.
