School of Contemporary Dancers

Lack of respect toward Indigenous students.This school is so messed up, they practically care nothing for the actual history of dance. They frame themselves as pioneering white women, whitewashing the history and practice of dance. Body image issues are abundant, trans/homophobia, anti-semitism and general racism go unchecked. Staff who claim BIPOC" and do land acknowledgments that are required for funding but have nothing to do with truly acknowledging the history of the land and how it stands today. (They will even host dance groups from Israel and not acknowledge Palestine
