I stayed in Field for a few days and ran across this cute family-run pottery shop! The whole family creates beautiful pieces ranging from vases to cups and everything in between. I fell in love with a beautiful tea mug with a unique twisted handle! I would have bought more but space in the carry-on was limited. They have an online shop so maybe more will pieces will come my way in the future!

Velvet Antler Pottery
Awesome little pottery shop run locally. Everything is super well made and absolutely beautiful. It is expensive due to the craftsmanship that goes into it but the pottery is well worth the price. My girlfriend owns a few pieces from a previous visit and I bought two pieces for myself. I will have to visit again in the future! They also have an adorable and friendly dog named Ash! If you are near Field/Golden you have to stop by.

Perhaps we visited when the owner was having an off day, but he was amazingly rude. I asked him about a pretty mug that was priced at $120. He said it was carved. I glanced down at the mug and felt the slight grooves that had been cut into the surface to approximate the terrain of a mountain, and before I had a chance to say anything, he said, Oh

The pottery is ok. The pieces they make and sell are not overly creative nor particularly unique or beautiful. Also overpriced. I certainly have a large collection of pottery and have bought higher quality pieces for less. Three stars for the location.

Velvet Antler Pottery
We love this little family run shop. Such a talented and creative family. They're so friendly and helpful. Ryan showed us the process of loading the kiln and everything that's involved in the finishing process, while Caitlin gave us a demonstration on the wheel. The shop is filled with all kinds of wonderfully colored creations made by hand and on site in the shop. If you're lucky enough to find yourself in the town of Field, be sure to make time to explore this little gem. You won't be disappointed!

This little shop is a must stop visit for anyone rolling through Field. This local artist is super friendly and happy to chat you up about what they do there. The Pottery is beautiful and well made. Not inexpensive or a deal if that's what you're after, but the pieces you purchase from here are bound to gain notice from anyone who see them. We always make a point to stop in and see what new pieces may have been added since our last visit.
