Worst pharmacy on the island. Rude service & staff chatting amongst each other. Called in the morning to confirm that I could have my bf pick up my prescription- with my ID I was told he could. Gets there this afternoon & says I don't have an account there - yes I do the last prescription I had to return to pick up because the safe wasn't open yet - didn't have the prescription ready even after calling earlier & was really rude when trying to pick up - went to Joe's family pharmacy across the street - prescription ready in 20 minutes with a smile & asked if they could help by multiple staff

Service is generally not quick or friendly in the pharmacy especially when speaking with a pharmacist.I dropped my prescription off on Dec 22 and as usual it was going to be slow service so I opted to pick it up on Dec 23. December 23 a weather warning was issued for BC. The storm never occurred. On Dec 24 I went to the store to collect my prescription but the store was closed even though online it the store showed as open. There were no weather issues - just light rain. I sat in the parking lot trying to call the store but no answer. In the meantime there were literally dozens of people trying to get into the store. The notice on the door said “ closed due to weather event” ? Every other store was open on Christmas Eve. I drove to Shoppers in Sidney and explained my situation and had my prescription within 5 minutes. They wondered why the Saanichton was closed and all I could say was that it was raining.My thoughts are that if you’re entrusted with prescription services that could be essential for clients, please be there to deliver them. I will be changing to another pharmacy. One would think after such a series of poor reviews / ratings someone in charge would clean their act up.

The Pharmacy is broken.Used the website to submit a prescription with photo, email and phone number. Waited 2 days yet, no notification. Went there to try old-school method to pick and found out they couldn't read the online submission's photo (looks perfect on phone). Asked why they didn't contact me to resubmit the image? 'We don't have time to do that!' was the response. The short conversation after that continued to be rude and unprofessional. Perhaps overworked and understaffed but, the pharmacy staff seem to have no regard for customers nor the importance of their medication. Your prescription appears as a burden to them.Avoid

No experience with the pharmacy, but speaking to the store in general, it's decent. My biggest complaint is probably that the prices suck. You can find most items on Amazon for up to $10 cheaper. Even with the frequent sales" the best you'll come across is a price-match for something you could normally find on Amazon. I also find it difficult to find things in this store because the signage is hard to read unless you are standing somewhere along the perimeter of the store. I like the self-checkouts and they have always worked great."

Our family had to switch pharmacies because everytime my wife had a prescription sent there via fax or called in by the doctor they would lose the prescriptions. The odd time they didn't lose it it took them ages to fill. Definitely had some pharmacy techs try to help but over all it was just one bad experience after the other and we had no choice but to seek more competent service else where.

Was accused of stealing by a cashier named Nick around 3pm on Saturday, April 15th. As if my mom would openly hand me a bag in front of other customers for a couple of items I just purchased at the cosmetics desk. He asked to look in my bag and then refused to see my receipt? I’m pretty sure accusing customers of stealing isn’t allowed, especially when it is blatantly obvious that I am not. I would like to speak to management to file an official complaint against him. I am livid and so offended.

Definitely 5 Stars. I have received consistently efficient and friendly service at the Saanichton Shoppers Drug Mart location from all departments. My past experience included Retail Management and over the last several months this store has been a favourite for a variety of needs. The cashiering was particularly excellent again today.

Seems like Bankers hours of a 9am opening but good selection, large store. That said, if you want a personable Pharmacy recommend Joe's Compounding, just across the street.

The worst customer service I’ve ever received. They “misplace” prescriptions and tell you they’re ready when they’re not. They make you wait without telling you why and then tell you it will “be another ten minutes”.. they don’t even apologize for wasting your time. It’s incredibly unprofessional. I’ve been going there for 7 years and today was the last time. Just terrible!!!

I had a terrible experience with the pharmacist. I don't live in the area I had no idea the pharmacy already had a bad reputation for terrible service, but I was treated so poorly while I was in terrible pain that I would feel deeply concerned about what's happening to the preparation of medication's being prepared by them, I wouldn't put my health into their hands. She treated me so badly and it was so uncalled for there's no reason for that.
