Well these guys helped me dodge a bullet today. Had big company “D” come out and try to snake my main line because the basement floor drain was backing up. Long story short I have a belly right under my foundation that caused some serious scale build up to the point that hardly anything could drain. Company D’s only recourse after running a camera was to replace like 30 feet of line for $13K (rough estimate) Didn’t really suggest doing anything but that. I sent him on his way.Called Northern, they had John come out. He ran his camera and let me know that yes I do have a sag, but instead of jumping straight to worse case scenario he broke down other courses of action like running a bigger blade to seriously break down the scaling, or hyrdrojetting. I appreciate that he had my pocketbook in mind when suggesting ways to mitigate the issues. Long story short he ran his bigger blades for nearly 2 hours, got my pipes back to round, got flow going, showed me the belly area, and explained that if we have further issues a hydro jet would be the next step. But my flow is back and I didn’t spend $13K so a thumbs up in my book. Only rating 4 stars because I was told by the office he’d be at my house in 20 minutes and it was closer to 2 hours. But I had a great experience and will be calling them back for sure for any drain issues. Pricing is competitive for the service you receive. Side note: John let me actually save the video instead of not recording anything like company D.
