We were gifted a Cakes in a Box cake for our wedding from very sweet friends. Joyce was the most creative and professional for our budget that we came across! The buttercream is divine, the flavours amazing and the aesthetic is gorgeous. We found about her through a friend of a friend and am so glad we did!! For our wedding cake we went with matcha, earl grey, and strawberry shortcake (I think). It was all delicious! It was meant to feed about 200 people from what I remember. Poor guests, we forgot to get it cut and distributed. Our lucky clean up crew got excessive amounts of cake! We also had our baby shower cake from her and have been testing her new flavours with her almost monthly cakes in a cup. If you ever need a cake / cupcakes try chocolate 5 spice. It is my favourite now!

Joyce did an absolutely phenomenal job with our wedding cake + cupcakes and she was a pleasure to work with all throughout the process. She made the design, ordering and delivery process simple and easy, and always responded promptly to emails. She had the fantastic idea to base the two flavours for our wedding cake around my the different cultural backgrounds of my husband and myself. Both flavours were delicious and we received rave reviews from our guests. We were still enjoying the extra cupcakes for a few days afterwards!

Joyce's cakes are unbelievably delicious! We had the early grey cupcakes and I would put that cake at the top 3 best cakes I have ever had. So incredibly moist. A strong earl grey flavour and not overly sweet. Her designs are so beautiful and she is truly talented.Joyce is also great to work with. She is kinda and funny and you will be so grateful and lucky to get to have her make you a cake. Highly recommend!

Joyce was so wonderful to deal with from the initial inquiry I made 4 months in advance. I had sent her a couple inspo pics and the cake she made outdid all of them. The cake was delicious and I absolutely loved the vanilla swiss buttercream. Joyce exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend her!

Who knew that a “naked” cake could be so elegant & sophisticated in its simplicity? Joyce’s gorgeous cake was a beautiful centrepiece at our daughter’s wedding shower. Chocolate layers with berry filling….fresh & delicious! Thank you Joyce for your attention to detail… right down to the perfect fresh flowers cake topper!

Joyce is so lovely to work with and our clients loved the cake she made. It was stunning and also delicious! She is so professional, friendly and efficient!One of our favorite cakes from Joyce is definitely this canvas on the cake. She hand painted it based on the picture of the Rose Garden. She’s not only an amazing baker, but also a talented artist!I strongly recommend her for your special occasion!

Joyce made our wedding cake back in August. The email communication was seamless and she responded enthusiastically to my request for a coconut sponge with mango curd filling (and no desiccated/shredded coconut). I also asked for an underwater theme to match our manatee cake toppers. We were not disappointed. The cake looked adorable, and it was divine! Some of our guests even took leftovers home.We were so happy we got to meet her when she delivered the cake at the top of Grouse Mountain. She's really sweet :)Photo credit: @ericamillerphotography

We've been ordering from Joyce for years, everything from cake to cupcakes--- she never disappoints! Her work is always absolutely incredible and our wedding cake was no exception. We had a tall, single tier naked cake with vanilla buttercream and earl grey as the cake flavour. ALL our guests were wowed by the cake asking for seconds and thirds. We can't wait for another celebration or any excuse at all really to get more cake/cupcakes from her. Highly recommend!

We got our wedding cake from Joyce and it was the best decision ever. Joyce is easy to communicate with and really helps bring any vision to life. She also makes delicious cakes. Highly recommend!!
