As a current student here for the MOA program, I can honestly say the experience has been good. I have made great friends, and the teachers are all friendly and willing to help you out when you need it. Everyone is focused on doing their job correctly, and you can't complain when the class is only four hours a day!

I am currently a Medical Office Assistant in Oxford College and I can say really say that you can't judge a book by it's cover until you read it by heart. From the Education Consultant to our Instructors in every module I have, are all supportive, helpful, and very knowledgeable in their fields. Up to now I am enjoying and looking forward to attend and learn in my class everyday. They taught me many things that I am looking for in a school. They will teach you what you need to succeed and inspire you to follow what you want to become after you finish the course. The school is very near where I am living and the schedule is very convenient for those who have busy schedule. Thank you Oxford College for helping me fulfill one of my goal in life :)

I personally wouldn't recommend oxford college Burlington campus to anyone. I've been a student there for 6 months and am currently in the intra oral dental assisting program and it is a complete joke. 6 months Into our 12 month program and the clinic is not ready, we do not have the proper equiptment to learn off of and the stress it has put on the students and teacher is ridiculous. the only good teacher we thought we had in the last 6 months lied to us and chose not to teach us and then just quit because the school is an absolute joke. and the campus manager? an even bigger joke. the schools claims they have done nothing wrong. they offered a program they were not set up for and took the students tuition money anyway. our program is done in a few months and were not ready

I am currently enrolled in the MOA program, was skeptical about what returning to school as a mature student, especially via zoom would be like but what a great experience Tammy Browning has made it to learn so far. It’s quite obvious just how much she loves teaching, and how much effort she has put into making sure we are learning! She has made me quite confident in my decision to return to school and I look forward to learning for the rest of the year.

I am currently a MOA student at Oxford College. So far my experience has been fabulous. I enjoy coming in to school each day and the staff are a large part of that. Each and every one of them have been very helpful and truly care about the students achieving their goals. They are lovely people to spend time with. I recommend Oxford college to anyone looking to advance their education in relaxing friendly environment.

I started at Oxford College in April 2017. I made a phone call to inquire about the MOA program, and started the next day. Since the day that I started all the staff have been very helpful and understanding. My teachers have been knowledgeable and always willing to go out of their way to help. The class hours of 8:30-12:30 made it very convenient for me as a Mother. One suggestion.. better Wi-Fi!

I am currently an MOA student at Oxford College. My professor Tammy Browning is absolutely amazing at what she does. She was my professor for the first 4 weeks, i got put into another class for a new course and it didn't work out. Tammy allowed me and 2 other students back into her class which puts her at 45 students in total. She's so understanding, kind and really helps us to make sure we understand what we're doing. If you have Tammy as your professor, you're in for a treat!

One Particular Instructor, which I thought I could thank, for the genuine compassion exceptional skills and much needed empathy my dog and I have both continuously received from EVERY OUTSTANDING PARAMEDIC STUDENTS she has taught that are simply being gracious enough to offer my dog and I both, a heartfelt smile and always happily greet my dog, Teddy, that adores them ALL so much that his little tail wags simply upon immediately recognizing their yellow vests or jackets from ACROSS the street…yeah I am glad I wasn’t even GRANTED the PRIVILEGE to even offer my sincere gratitude as the instructor to help mold them into who they are, as the incredibly dedicated and devoted students that are already, graduates with honours to me, as the STUDENTS are actually more compassionate and interested in helping others than the actual entire Halton Regional Police Force and COAST crisis line, especially those staff members that have chuckled on the phone, at my expense, which was mortifying to receive and brings me. I dissociate, constantly now, regretting having made a clearly, unsuccessful attempt at my life, off the Hamilton escarpment back in 2014, and then having the slow, excruciating process of simply relearning how to walk and be able to climb small steps…so please to the “experienced instructor in the VW white car, please take a cue from YOUR STUDENTS and try to refrain from judging a book by its cover based on the unbelievably hurtful blatant disregard for me, feeling a need to casually whip out her cellphone while thanking HER, enter the passcode and proceed to scroll through its entirety, never once bothering to even maintain any eye contact with me whatsoever, visibly agitated as my sheer voice or presence had led her to have frequent exasperated sighs and then looking in different directions but giving Poor Teddy, an OBVIOUS GrIMACE, prompting me to immediately apologize repeatedly, for my dog perhaps bothering her personally somehow in case she did have a phobia AND leading me to simply give up on the notion that I could be perhaps addressed as a HUMAN, hopefully? I shut down in sadness and kept apologizing repeatedly for having been of any bother to her at all as she was headed out the door, simply saying “it’s ok, no worries” walking to her car. Little does this so called Experienced and Highly Trained Instructor know that I have been seriously contemplating a successful suicide attempt, since my cliff jump off the Hamilton escarpment back in 2014 was obviously a disastrous failure, leaving me almost paralyzed from the waist down and now having to suffer chronic severe injuries and pain and a metal rod inserted for part of my left shin bone, and no longer even able to run at all, when I had previously actually been a very active runner. I felt such immediate shame at my own existence, again, like I do everyday that I had to check my reflection in the mirror thinking she must have thought that I was just some gross, homeless “bum” around here that they are looked at like. I was extremely depressed so please VW driving “instructor” teaching paramedics, refrain from judging a book by its cover as harshly as I was looked upon by you, as I question committing suicide as of now, every single day, constantly. The 5 stars are ONLY for ALL these PHENOMENAL PARAMEDICS that possess far more humanity than she clearly has, well for me anyway, as some “mental illness” I am known as by my neighbours in this building. Thanks so much, especially to the following Hero Paramedics: Jess, Olivia, Moona and Charlotte, to name some of ALL the Students who could maybe teach this specific “Instructor”, in the white, VW sedan AND should definitely receive honours upon graduation from this institution that has a teacher that made it abundantly clear that she was not even interested in knowing the names of these AMAZING people and the BEST PARAMEDICS EVER!! Oh, and thanks to Teddy’s first girlfriend, Moona

I am studying MOA at the Burlington campus. At the moment it is online daily through zoom and we have a wonderful instructor Tammy Browning. I was super nervous to return to college as a mom of 3 but Tammy is energetic, always prepared with a thorough lesson and makes learning so much fun! She has provided motivational speakers, youtube videos to summarize lessons and is always on hand to answer any questions we may have. I have built a fantastic rapport with Tammy and will be sad when the class comes to an end. She has helped me understand so many things I had difficulty getting my head around which has led me to be successful thus far on my assessments. Thank you Oxford college for this opportunity to further my career and thank you for our wonderful teacher Tammy!
