World Gym Sunridge

Mixed reviews, did a drop in, staff was disengaged, gym was very crowded, paying $40 biweekly for squat cages doesn't seem worth it. The sauna was broken and showers I wouldn't step foot in, the floor was filthy.

Have been a member at this gym for over 6 months now and can honestly say that I have never looked back. The staff and other gym goers are really nice, facility is constantly kept clean, has a good amount of equipment (all basically brand new) and open space and the membership price is cheap. When I heard that World Gym (Sunridge) was voted North America’s #1 new gym, I was not surprised. They also have a VIP area, a studio, a tanning booth, a sauna, showers, massage chairs and a smoothie bar. The only qualm I have with the gym is that the cable machines are constantly under repair. The gym hours are fair and I can understand why they’re not open 24/7. I wish they would stay open a little later on the weekends though! Aside from that, I think they could do with 1 or 2 more squat racks and free-weight benches as they are almost always being used.

Decided to drop in this evening for a training session and was welcomed by Isaiah. He answered all my questions about the gym professionally and was helpful. Extremely clean and well-kept gym. Spacious and has the necessities of fitness and strength equipment to get your training done. I enjoyed the lighting as it wasn't too dim/dark but a good tone to set a quality training environment in. I was impressed with how well the members abided by cleaning the equipment and everyone seemed happy to be here.Locker rooms are also clean and organized. They have showers and a sauna which you need to notify staff to turn on should you want to use it (didn't get a chance today). You will need your own lock to lock up your belongings and outdoor shoes can be kept on shoeracks outside of the gym itself.I understand why the turf, functional area and rigs are reserved for the VIP zone but that would be the only thing I can think of that I wish I could have tried. It was a pleasant overall experience. Well done with the gym and looking forward to future visits if I'm in the area!

Decent gym. Far too busy though. Definitely needs to open 24 hours up again. When I signed up here I was under the impression it was 24 hours until after I signed a contract. I was told it is only 24 hours Monday through Friday. Nice equipment. Good lighting. That being said, every single treadmill needs to be lubeed. There's so much friction I can feel my leg hair standing up.

This photo is taken at 7:50pm on the weekend, 10 minutes before gym’s closure. As you see so many people are still working out. But they say they close due to not enough demand of using the gym. The other picture is showing Men’s washrooms condition and it’s been like that for the past 3 months. No soap, no dryer or clean paper towel. It’s like a washroom at a camping site. Usually the gym is that busy the you have to wait 15 mins to use one equipment. Sometimes there isn’t even any cloth to wipe the equipment before/after use. No WiFi. Their contract is full of liability, and with so many reason, they want to continue charge your credit card somehow. Overall, I don’t recommend this gym. So many red flags.

Front staff are phenomenal, always friendly! Would rate them 5 stars alone. On the other hand, the gym weekend hours are ridiculous. Closing at 8pm is very inconvenient, especially to those who have more time on their hands to exercise during the weekend. The personal trainer Naveen is beyond unprofessional. Had a quick consult with him to which he advised me to lose weight, even compared my ideal weight to “models in magazines”. To preface, I weight 110lb and I’m 5 foot 1. Losing any more weight would jeopardize my health, but he should already know that as a personal trainer. The other personal trainer Jake is amazing, he was extremely helpful in suggesting different workouts. He even goes out of the way to ensure I am comfortable with the things he suggests.In conclusion, the staff at the front are beyond amazing. Jake is phenomenal at what he does, and I would rate them all 5/5.

Decent gym environment and equipment. However, make sure you read the fine print on the cancellation policy. You physically have to go into the location to sign a form that you could literally sign online AND they continue to take money out of your account for 60 days post cancellation. NO OTHER GYM does that! I've only ever experienced 2 weeks with other gyms. Shame on me for not reading that more carefully, BUT shame on you World Gym for taking advantage of people. Dirty dirty pool!!

This place is an open concept gym, the employees are amazing and welcoming. The problems that I have with this gym are that they have never fixed the hand dryer since it opened. The Brown and Arab people are disgusting here, they don't clean the weights and benches and they do not put their weights away. The other day, I saw three brown dudes spit on the floor and just walked away. Absolutely disgusting. Great gym, horrible etiquette from people.

I've witnessed multiple fights at this gym, I mean real punching and hitting and bleeding fights, yes a guy broke someone's nose.... I've been to various gyms by far this is the only place members get physical with each other for dumbbells and machines. There are even security cameras in the mens change room to monitor for vandalism, misbehavior and theft. But the staff are nice and welcoming.

Been coming here for a year and they’re yet to fix the entrance where your pass always seems to not work until you try a few times. Vip zones are getting packed as 1 pass brings 3 of his friends.Decent equipment and good option if close to home
