Ontario Driver-Vehicle Licence

There is no sign or any information online letting you know that during this Covid situation, they are currently handing out numbers from 730am -830am to get service the same day ( actually opens at 9am). They say this is to prevent line ups, yet this would be everyone there that would show up throughout the day in the same line.When I questioned this I was told that it was due to the warm weather so people arent waiting in line in the heat, but had also been told this procedure has been in place for 6 weeks. It was not hot 6 weeks ago. Considering there are strict timelines regarding registering vehicles and such, how is it possible to get there between an hour period, wait for your number in a line who knows how long, and then come back during your hour time slot to then wait again inside for your turn. Currently there are people with numbers waiting outside anyway.When I questioned why there is no information regarding this anywhere I was told that all service ontario locations were doing something different so they cant post it on the website.THIS IS A GOVERNMENT SERVICE! WHY ARE THEY MAKING UP THEIR OWN RULES AT EACH LOCATION? They let me in because I made a big enough scene and didnt just follow their arbitrary rule they decided to implement for a government service.The only plus side was the person I delt with at the counter was very nice and professional.
