ONE King North

I was worried about coffee-shop-oversaturation when I found out this place was opening. However upon visiting, it's apparent that this place truly has its own unique identity. The lighting and the décor is fantastic; super bright and mellow. I am in love with the AstroTurf on the windowsills, and all the lively green plants. Good coffee, I only wish they had more variety in their snacks. Come here if you need a place to sip on something hot and watch the cars endlessly roll past the lovely windows.

Great coffee shop to work out of - some of my most productive days here in early 2018! Friendly and helpful staff. Can get a bit loud at peak times.

The main floor of this coffee shop used to be mainly for people committed to working there. There were a few “free“ spots for those who wanted to just test it out. When I was there a few days ago, I was told that they are now a regular coffee shop and anyone is welcome. I sat with my colleague beside a window and over the two hours we were there, we found ourselves getting colder and colder. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were OK. I think I will try it again but sit closer to the inside of the room, away from the cold windows. The windows were great to get perspective and engagement to what was going on outside.

Great new space right in the heart of Uptown Waterloo. Steps from restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops and cultural points of interest. Cozy and trendy decor. Cool tech companies in the building, a great place to network and work.

This work-hard/play-hard space is destined to become a go-to hub for community-building in the heart of Uptown. Given its location, vision, and humble attitude I truly believe that the former home of Hatashita Diamond Centre is well-positioned to become one of the region's most in-demand co-working spaces. Centrally located, well-appointed, and more than adequately caffeinated (some of the absolute best coffee around), I'm excited to see ONE King North make its mark and take its place in the fast-growing, community-oriented WR tech ecosystem. Can't wait to start working here soon!

On the outside, One King North looks like your basic coffee shop. The interior is beautifully decorated with modern decor. However, I wish it was advertised more clearly as a working space for businesses and independent workers. I found the space for the public was minimal and felt cramped. It did not feel like a coffee shop where you could meet up with friends. Now having a better understanding of the shops concept, I believe it's a great idea for businesses. However, I would not come here on a daily basis.

Place is beautiful, lots of natural light giving the place a comfortable ambiance. Great for coffee and getting some work done. It is open to the public on weekends or weekdays after 5PM because this place is for coworking members.

Lots of space to work with reasonably good coffee. Not enough power outlets but plenty of space for group meetings. Can even rent am office if you need a more permanent spot.
