My husband and I had our wedding reception at Burlington Marquis Gardens in June 2018, and it was a fantastic experience. The waterfront location is absolutely stunning and made for beautiful photos, and the outdoor waterfront patio was a huge hit with our guests. Deanna worked closely with us in the months leading up to the wedding to plan out our event, and thanks to all of her careful planning and organization, everything went according to plan. The room was set up beautifully, including high quality linens and floating candle centrepieces provided by Marquis Gardens. We received many compliments from our guests on the food, including a great late-night buffet. The staff was a pleasure to work with, as well. Overall it was a great experience and we're very happy that we chose Marquis Gardens Burlington for our wedding!

I had my wedding at Marquis Gardens Burlington location in August. From the very beginning, Deanna was so helpful. She always responded to my emails and answered any questions I had. She was present during the day of my wedding to make sure the ceremony ran perfectly and everyone knew when to enter and walk down the aisle. She addressed any concerns I had and was overall a joy to work with. The food at the venue was Amazing! Not one of my guests had a negative thing to say about the venue. The staff was amazing. Especially the waiter working at the head table. The food was delicious and the staff did an amazing job setting up the decor for the room. The place settings and table decor was absolutely beautiful and just how I imagined. I would recommend Marquis Gardens to anyone getting married! We had a wonderful experience.

We loved our wedding at Marquis Gardens. Highly recommend - the staff are kind & helpful. They helped us plan a wedding during the pandemic, which is challenging (to say the least) with all the changing restrictions and guidelines. I can't count the number of times I texted the coordinator who worked at the venue with questions and changes but she was always patient in answering me. They ensured everything ran smoothly on our big day and ensured that all the details were to my satisfaction. They have relationships with DJ's, bakers, photographers, and other vendors you need. It was also convenient for us and our guests to stay at the hotel at the venue. I couldn't have done it without their guidance and help. Thank you!

We held a business event at the Marquis Gardens/Waterfront Downtown Hotel in Burlington and can not say enough good things about the staff and the support we received! It was a wonderful event, a beautiful location and the attentive staff were always there to meet our needs and ensure the day was a huge success!

Had the pleasure of having Paul and the amazing staff at Marquis organize and execute two amazing events. We had a Confirmation and a First Communion. Paul, the staff, and the event details went beyond what we were expecting!Decor, setup, and food were everything we asked for and more.Definitely recommend the place and everyone involved!

I was planning my wedding remotely, but that was no issue for the professional staff at Marquis. I was working with Deanna who was by far my favourite vendor with whom I interacted during my entire wedding planning process. Prompt email replies, organized, professional and just overall extremely helpful. The day went off without a hitch! The available packages were great, lots of decorations and extra items were available to rent, this is a real gem for someone who is trying to find a venue that takes care of it all for you. The bartender was great, and the food was some of the best food we've ever had at a reception. Not to mention the pricing is extremely reasonable. Further, if you have out-of-town guests, the convenience of being in a hotel cannot be understated. Everything was so organized and professional, we're really very grateful we found Marquis Gardens and decided to host our wedding there!

Our experience at Marquis Gardens from the very first meeting with Claudine to last call on the night of our wedding was exceptional. Claudine managed our event very professionally and was able to handle the specific details we had requested even with the complexities involved, mainly the short turn around time.Myself and our guests were very impressed by the quality of the food that came out of the kitchen and the service was great!The decor we had brought with us was setup beautifully inside and the bride was really happy with it (which is a high bar to reach).Overall, Claudine and Marquis Gardens really delivered an exceptional event that we and our guests loved and I can't recommend this place enough.

Married Oct./22 in Burlington. Booked pre-Covid. Venue is very nice, although no elevator for guests. Dealt with 3 or more coordinators while waiting for our wedding to happen. Although the Marquis was good about rescheduling our date several times, our contact was constantly changing.Contract promised a tasting - this was never provided. Room setup was a bit different from what was agreed upon.Day of wedding, printed menus had a typo on them. Very unprofessional and embarrassing for us.Day of wedding, our planner left before end of wedding. Servers kept removing beverages from tables before guests were finished with them! Very annoying although it was an open bar. At one table, a family member had to jokingly threaten a server before a jug of water was left on the table for guests. Bar ran out of non-alcoholic beer although it was requested well in advance. Beef is normally cooked medium rare for large groups yet our beef was over cooked to the point it was compared to ‘shoe leather’. Guests later criticized servers for being underdressed in t-shirts. At end of evening, servers were taking away personal property of ours and corrected by guest, of course they could have thought the items belonged to the venue.On the plus side, the bartenders were fantastic and the venue allowed us in one evening earlier to decorate which was a big help.Also, a room in the Waterfront Hotel was also part of our package. The Hotel itself was a whole other story, providing sub-par rooms to guests and a front desk clerk with a poor attitude.Honestly, if planning today, knowing what I know now, I would have probably gone elsewhere.

My husband and I finally had our postponed wedding here last month. While we were really happy to finally get to celebrate, we were very disappointed with how MG handled the day. Our onsite coordinator did not introduce herself to us until our second course, they had set up the tables incorrectly (despite asking for and receiving my table plans the week before), my cake was left out on the table still in the box until I asked them to help me set it up. I also had to ask 5 times for a hi-chair for one of my guest's kids, the vendors table was not set up until I asked them, and so many more things. We were also told that we would be contacted for a tasting a month before our date and again, no one contacted us and as it took forever to get someone on the other end of their phone lines, I just let it go.What I don't understand is that the coordinator gave me a pretty thorough plan the week before, and half of the things mentioned in the plan was not even present. We were promised items for our center pieces that was written in our contract, and on the day of, nothing was set up. The whole thing was very disorganized.I tried calling a few times to voice my frustration, and each time I am told that someone will get back to me -just to leave me hanging for another 2-3 weeks. I have yet to be in touch with my coordinator.All in all, the venue is beautiful but the business is disorganized. I hope other brides that are still contracted in due to covid have better luck here than I did.

Ladies and gentlemen if you are looking for an amazing spot to have your wedding look no further than the Marquis Gardens in Burlington! We were married here last week. Leading up to I was working with Deanna to help plan and coordinate. She was incredible! I have catered weddings in the past and I know good from bad. Our damask linens that were included were beautiful. We had rave reviews about the food being the best that people have ever had at a wedding. No one left hungry. We were married outside with the most incredible view. Most people who attended now have pics of them out here as their profile pics because it was so beautiful. The waiter who was just for the head table was outstanding. Standing outside for pictures so we could grab some food in Between pics. I can't say enough but this was the best decision we made for our wedding!
