Windsor/Essex County Humane Society

We are horrified at the cost local vets charge to have your pet neutered or spayed. With pandemic pets overloading kennels and strays...it is the only responsible thing to do. We were pointed to Windsor OSPCA. We are grateful we were. From the online information, forms, payment to the actual follow up after surgery, the process was so easy. If there was something I wasnt sure of ahead of surgery I called or emailed and promptly got a response. The day of surgery was so organized. Winston seems to be recovering well. He behaves like nothing happened. We really appreciate the professionalism and compassion we and Winston received. I have already referred to so many. We will be sending a kind donation to help them be able to keep costs lower than others. Thank you, Mike and Cynthia, and Winston of course!

My dog got his shots and wellness check and heartworm/flea meds for a much affordable price than my regular vet. Staff are friendly and you can tell they love animals.

My family adopted these 3 incredible boys from the Windsor/Essex Humane Society. The people there truly have the biggest hearts and love for animals. They really, really make sure that every animal goes to the right home for them.The most loving dogs, all with such unique and spunky personalities. ADOPT DON’T SHOP! The humane society will help you find the pet truly meant for you.

I had my female dog spayed at the clinic this past week. Daniella went over and above to help ease my worry and I appreciate the kindness and compassion she showed.My girl is now 24 hours past surgery and nicely getting back to herself and feeling better!

I personally adopted a kitty from them everything was super fast and in a timely manner. I love my kitty he is perfect just 2 months old. The paper work was easy super satisfied with the stuff too they were really helpful and polite :)

Everyone there was an absolute joy to work with. You can really tell that they love the animals and genuinely want to find them the proper homes. And finding out almost a week before expected that my little one eyed kitten was ready to come home to me really speaks volumes to the amount of effort and care they're willing to put in. Would absolutely recommend working with them

Took an abandoned baby raccoon found in my backyard to WECHS for rehab. They were quick and efficient and took care of the little guy so he was not in harms way.

Had a great experience bringing our barn cats here to get spayed. Everyone was nice, it was affordable and the vet did a super awesome job suturing up our females! Bringing our other cats in soon and any other future cats. I feel so greatful that there is an affordable option for S/N for outdoor cats!
