Desert Gem RV Resort

We stayed at the Desert Gem RV park for over two months in 2016. It's OK. Easy walk to the grocery store next door and downtown Oliver. Sites are very close together, however, with a tiny patch of grass. When 2 large RV's with slides are parked next to each other, it can be almost impossible to walk between the rigs. Customer service is somewhat lacking too. I mentioned that someone had an annoying chime attached to their rig that was keeping me awake, and staff did absolutely nothing about it. They didn't even return my call. Good for an overnight stay or two, but not for an extended stay.

Well maintained, clean and nicely landscaped. Very secure with front and rear entrance gates. Very close to shopping next door and close to downtown. Clean laundry and washrooms. Deb the manager is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. We stayed a week and will be staying again next year.

This is a very clean park. I stay here every year when visiting friends in the area. The internet is lousy! The rate is $62 a night plus tax. Our stay is for 4 nights. We were also charged $3 a day pet fee. We take our dog outside the back gate. The pet fee really bugs me!

Clean, modern, and friendly. Absolutely great service, Deb the site manager was amazing and welcoming. It's mostly pavement, however was perfect for what we needed. 30A for A/C, water and sewer in each site. Public areas are spotless, and maintained well.We werent going to be spending a ton of time at camp as we're out wine touring, it was perfect.Very central and close to everything.

Great place to stay. Good rates, includes free showers, WIFI etc. Staff is friendly and helpful. All of the amenities are within walking distance of the Resort. Summer wine tour travelers or Snowbirds alike will enjoy their stay.

We stayed at the resort last summer. After one night there my husband took ill and spent the rest of the week in hospital we had only booked for one night but when our plans changed I was going to have to move our fifth wheel as the spot we were in was already spoken for for the next few nights. I had no ability to move the unit myself and was very stressed when I explained our situation to the staff they immediately responded with an immediate no problem we will not only move it for you but store it if needed I was so impressed with the kindness and support they offered I would highly recommend this RV park without hesitation They totally relieved our stress and we are forever grateful

This is not a resort a parking lot with small strips of grass would be a more accurate description Caution- nothing and nobody is allowed on this grassThe manager is extremely officious and unreasonableHer choice of words demonstrate that she lacks tack and the necessary people skills to manage anything.The guy who checked me in was totally awesome and my advice to him is - look for another job quickly. 1st I have to say Deb (site manager) was amazing. She not only made a spot available for us when the fires broke out in Oliver when our other campground was on evacuation alert, but she was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, extremely clean, and has all of the amenities you need. (Power, water, sewer, cable, shower house and laundry). The shower was the best I have ever used in an RV park. It was clean, had hot water and roomy.

Deb was absolutely lovely.. we were late getting into town on a long weekend.. it was hot we were tried..needed to get set up.. Deb had a small spot available to let us set up on. She went over and above. We so appreciate what she did for us.. we will definitely be back.. a beautiful place to stay.. clean and lovely

The owners are absolutely splendid people. They went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Beautiful campground in a very nice little town.
