Hamilton Interval House

We've worked with Interval House of Hamilton for three years now and we are constantly humbled by the work they do and the impact they have to women in the Hamilton community. We see first-hand how dedicated Nancy and the rest of the team are to women staying at the shelter, and how tirelessly they work to secure the much-needed funds to keep their programs running year after year.

Rude inept workers yelling at an abused woman on the phone, great job people, good to know you care and love your job. Hamilton needs a facelift from these barbaric practices of treatment.

Incredible organization with amazing people.

There is a clear power dynamic that could be seen in respect to management and counsellors. Went for an interview and it felt more like an interrogation. The atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable. I was happy to get out of the interview....

Connect Marketing is scamming people using YOUR name. Pocketing a lot of the money and only paying out their employees 2% of the funds they collect for you folks.

I was there it's really good place and safe for woman's and children!!

Gave me counselling when I needed it most, arranged to get Christmas gifts and grocery cards to my children after we were forced by my ex husband to be penniless and hungry. Without them, I’m not sure how I would’ve survived the worst time of my life.

At first you are showered with attention and love. Next thing you know they are only interested in getting rid of you. No they do not focus on your mental health nor your children's. They only care about your chores being done and your room being cleaned and making sure you have a departure plan. It's not healthy at all here. Their survey is biased to suit their agenda. It was better to be home with my abuser than to live here. No i won't live with that person but many have felt this way. If you challenge they cry out they are the best. If you are the best it's not something you need to say. Yes good people work here but have to follow the standards of the place. Real honest people were let go because they know deep down living there is difficult. Too many rules and not enough care for any woman, mother or child. This is no exaggeration i have just left there. It is absolutely ridiculous. We come from abuse. Do not further abuse us and say you are the best. Help mothers and children. What is CYC there for if they don't keep kids busy so moms can relax and find peace in such a chaotic place? They are hard on all the women. Care is last. Clean is first. Departure plan is priority. Find somewhere else to go.

I have had the lovely experience of working very closely with the Executive Director and the team at Interval House for many years. It’s one of the things I am most grateful for, and proud of, in my career. I am in awe of the dedication, professionalism and care the Executive Director takes in everything she does. It’s incredible to watch their team provide such important services to women and children - The organization is crucial in our community.

I just saw a commercial from Interval House on Cable 14. Yes,violence against women,children is terrible and we as a community should Stand up and Speak Out. Sometimes the devastation can affect a person,women,children for a lifetime.I believe this violence must stop. I'm standing up and I care. God Bless
