Christina Benedetti

I started seeing Christina when I was 12 years old, having already gone through a myriad of therapists and absolutely hating them all. 10 years later, I am still seeing her, and cannot put into words how much she has changed my life! Christina immediately made me feel comfortable; I felt right away that I could trust her, as she is easily approachable, compassionate, caring, intelligent, always understanding and never judgemental. Together throughout the years, she has helped me open up, identify and explore difficult emotions, recognize self-destructive patterns/behaviour, develop personal insights, and improve general coping skills. Christina is very professional, respectful, and resourceful, focusing on concrete solutions, teaching you tools to help make real changes in order to improve many aspects of your life. Christina is especially skilled in and has helped me with issues such as improving communication and building stronger, healthier relationships (romantic, parent-child, friendships, etc.), depression, reducing stress and anxiety, addiction, and symptoms related to trauma. She has helped me significantly in the difficult process of confronting my own complex and very painful issues stemming from sexual abuse trauma, always providing an environment in which I feel safe, supported, cared for, and accepted. She is always non-judgemental and unprejudiced, making it easy to be open and honest about anything. Christina is a wonderful, compassionate, intelligent person, and an extremely skilled, qualified and experienced psychotherapist who really genuinely cares, and will go above and beyond to help her clients. I feel very lucky to have had her help and support throughout all these difficult years, and could not imagine getting through my mess of a life without her!

Christina is a very kind and caring therapist. She has helped me to recognize when I am making choices based on my anxiety and has taught me a lot about self care and self compassion. Since starting therapy with her, I am more mindful and aware of my choices, and this has helped me build a better relationship with myself. Also, her empathetic heart made it very easy for me to open up about trauma. So grateful she is part of my healing journey!
