The staff at this location are wonderful to deal with. From pre Covid, during Covid and post Covid, they dealt with each client respectfully. Justine is the best! I book with her every time and LOVE her professionalism and work. She is down to earth and super sweet. Can’t beat the prices nor the great staff at this location.

Such an amazing experience from the time I walked in the door to the time I left! Amanda was amazing. The rooms are super clean and protocols were followed! I was very nervous as it was my first time getting waxed and Amanda made me feel super comfortable and didn’t take long at all! The price was amazing! Will definitely be back! Don’t hesitate to book!

I’m not one to leave bad reviews for businesses, but I must warn that they aren’t careful with their eyebrow waxing. I left with one of my eyebrows thinner than the other. I booked with a well rated employee based on the past reviews, so it was particularly disappointing to experience. 3 stars because they did try to rectify the situation by apologizing and comping me, but I would’ve happily paid more for a better service.

I have been going to Waxonomy (previously Bare Essentials) for roughly 2 years for the Brazilian half & half. I am ALWAYS 5 minutes early to my appointment, usually leaving work slightly early to get there on time as it is a 30 minute drive from where I live. Unfortunately, I was max. 10 minutes late to my appointment today due to unforeseen construction closing a main road in Guelph. My appointment was at 4:45 and I called at 4:40 to inform them that I would be late. I got to Waxonomy at 4:55 and was told that they would have to reschedule my appointment as the next person came in so they took her early (I let them know on the phone previously that I was driving 30 minutes into Guelph for the appointment). My appointments have always taken less than 10 minutes so I was shocked that I couldn’t be accommodated whatsoever, but the next customer could be taken in 5 minutes early during my scheduled appointment time.I wasn’t going to leave a review as I have worked in customer service my whole life & don’t like being the person to complain, but seeing other reviews I see that this is a common occurrence and they do not accommodate people even if they are only 5 minutes late (including a pregnant woman in another review). I have never in my life had an appointment cancelled on me for being slightly late, especially if I call beforehand to inform them. They book appointments back to back, leaving no wiggle room for any unforeseen circumstances. With the services they provide, at least 5 minutes lieu should be left between appointments for sanitation/cleaning purposes in my opinion.Unfortunately, I can no longer justify the drive to visit Waxonomy for fear that being slightly late means I drove an hour for nothing. With the prices continuously going up, it’s probably for the best that I find something closer to me anyway.

Went for my first ever wax with Diana O, and although it hurt a bit (expected), she made it as painless as she could and talked me through everything. She was beyond sweet, patient and gentle. I’m not from around Guelph but would make the drive just to ensure my comfort during these appointments. Thanks Diana!!

I have been a regular client of Waxonomy (formerly Bare Essentials) for the past two years. The team is extremely friendly and polite. The place is clean and their price points are reasonable. On top of which the quality of services are exceptional.

I used Bare Essentials today for the first time in preparation for my Caribbean vacation and I was not disappointed at all! When I tell you that these ladies are fast, effective, friendly and priced very well, believe it!I saw Sydney today and when she told me she was newer I was a bit concerned but it was all for nothing because she did an excellent job, was so friendly and chatty and like i said - quick!! In and out for a full leg (I'm 5'10 with long legs), Brazilian and under arms in less than 45 mins!!When I got to work and chatted with the ladies in the office, they all had great things to say about Bare Essentials Guelph too!Book that service, you won't be disappointed!

Hi, I want to report an incident which happened with my wife on 8th April, 12.05 pm.My wife had an appointment at 12 pm for a service of 15 minutes. She is currently 9 month pregnant and tries to be careful. She reached WAXONOMY guelph at 12.05 and was REFUSED SERVICE. How insensitive a person/business can be where they can’t even be loyal to a regular customer and not be understanding enough to accommodate a literal 5 minute delay. This was the most terrible experience we ever had in Guelph. My wife requested that 5 minutes should not be problem to another customer considering her situation. I want to call out the management and owners of the place to at least have some courtesy and teach your staff to be more sensitive towards customers, given my wife's situation.
