Over priced. Much more than even a bookstore should feel acceptable charging. They are 25-100% more expensive than over used book stores. Okay selection, but not a lot of gems tbh. Mostly coffee table, trade paperbacks, and some run of the mill classics, but they didn't have many rarities or anything special except a couple of oversized books. None of their prices are good, so it's not going to be a place to find a good deal, moreso like a place to look if you are heading to chapters at Chinook and may be able to get a slight discount.

The selection was wonderful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I was there for over 2 hours and found many of the books on my list. A readers dream of a store.

Best place to find all your reading needs. Service is always friendly and there are place to sit and review your books before purchasing.

Great place to buy books of literally any kind! I have never been the biggest book reader but ever since visiting this place, I have become more of a reader. Can lose track of time quite easily in this place haha!

Staff were so helpful and lovely to chat with. Super well organized and easy to search for things! Love the fact that if you bring a book back you get credit for it towards another purchase. Will 100% be back!

I said this about the Inglewood location and it applies here too. Fair's Fair is hands down the best used book store(s) in the city... In fact, easily one of the best I've been to anywhere period. The selection is quite impressive, prices are very good and staff are always pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend

A local treasure. Good selection and prices. I take all of my out of town guests here and they always love exploring their multiple locations. The prices they give for used books are always fair.

Wow. Just WOW. I found this amaaazing used books store today. The only dissapointment i had was that i didnt have enough time to really take my time and browse. So i most definitely will be back. I did manage to take home 3 books which im oh so excited to start reading. The books here are about HALF price of the books you would buy at a chapters or online. I bought 3 books for about 30$.The building is HUGE on the inside, doesnt seem so big on the outside but i promise you - you will be impressed.You could bring coffee or tea here with u and sit and read as they have different sitting areas. It is very VERY organized and not dizzying like other places ive been to. Its really well set up. This location will NOT buy ur used books but according to the lovely young lady who helped me around, their inglewood location will buy your used books for cash (fri thu sun) or store credit on ur account (anytime of the week). I am planning a trip back once im done the 3 books i bought to lounge, read and of course buy more books! Mask mandate is in place here and hand sanitizer is available at the front door.

Very nice store. It has a fair bit of parking. Has a good selection of books. I find it very organized by category. A very nice environment to browse through. They will also give you store credit for used books. I will start using them for that. I was very pleased with the store and will return.

Fairs Fair is the best used book store I've found in the city. Their selection simply is not even approached by any of the other stores in the city. I never walk out empty handed.This is their 'warehouse' store, with rows upon rows of paperbacks. If you're looking for the latest release, you're not likely to find it here. But if you're happy to browse old books and pick out something that catches your eye, you'll have lots of choice here. I've walked out with dozens of different books across genres, although SF/F is my favourite genre. Historical Fiction, classics, horror, and even books for your kids are all very well represented here.A typical mass market paperback will set you back between $4 and $6 depending on age. They generally sell books in good condition, and if you finish a book and don't want to hold onto it, you can return it for half the original price you paid in credit. (I haven't taken advantage of this yet but it gives me confidence to take a risk here and there and try something that interests me I haven't heard of). Trade paperbacks are typically $10-$12. Their general principle is half off the original price.Maybe only downside is hardcovers can be pricey compared to other places, as 'half off' a hardcover can still be $20...when the hardcover might have been 'sold' at $25 in the first place (it's been my experience that, at least with popular books, Chapters and their ilk sell it at 30% off or for fixed prices). But their selection is mostly paperback at this store, so this rarely comes up for me.Oh, and last time I was there, when I got to the till, I was informed I had $13 in credit I had built up I didn't even know about, which amounts to 2-3 books free depending what you grab. Score!
