This school has excellent teachers. They give independence and confidence to all students. Most students get musical skills in short time.Definitely, this is a great school!

I had an amazing experience at this school. The teachers and staff were all amazing and had their student's best interest in mind, and the education was great quality-- as it challenged students a bit, but I learned a lot and figured it was a 'higher level' of teaching compared to other schools. I've made incredible friendships there, to where the friendships I've just made recently aren't as strong as the ones in Suzuki. The school had a small population of students which made it all the more enjoyable and intimate (in my opinion) and I felt like I got to know everyone well. I also love the location of this school. It has a HUGE empty field which leads to a descending hill, and it's so peaceful instead of schools which are located in the noisy, busy city. The music program was also great, although I picked the recorder as an instrument which made for a rather disappointing 4 years regarding the instrumental part of it... so now I know how to play the recorder above averagely. However, they not only focus on instruments, but they also provide choral classes, choir, and musical theatre. The bad aspects in my experience were how there were a lot of rude students who would pick on me and my friends for no reason so there was kind of a small feud between us; although it wasn't too serious, it was like an immature elementary boys vs. girls thing-- which I dislike a lot. Another thing was the LONG Winspear concerts every year. Basically students would spend most of the year rehearsing in their morning music groups some songs on their instruments to play at the Winspear during May, and it would be around 2 hours long. I sometimes was on the verge of falling asleep. It was still memorable though, and it would always be fun to celebrate at Dairy Queen after! Overall, this school was very memorable and nostalgic for me and I highly recommend sending your child here.

Found it funny how many good reviews are from parents so here's one from a student. Attended this school from K-6, worst school experience ever (and I am graduating grade 12 this year so I've been through school). I was a challenged kid in an abusive household, and also had a learning disability (Dyscalculia and ADHD). I had a note from a licensed therapist (and a registered IPP) for accommodations and it was completely ignored, I was never allowed to access any of my accommodations, I always felt like the teachers were out to get me, I had maybe 2 or 3 good teachers, and the school did nothing when I was being humiliated by my class mates, even when my parents would ask for help for me nobody did anything, and I continued to be picked on for how I looked, dressed, and my struggles to keep up in class (might I remind you I have a *learning disability*). I got migraines from the stress at least 3 times a week, it got so frequent they stopped sending me home. Made transferring into a public school really difficult and almost made me quit music as a whole, and though I didn't quit I still haven't picked up my cello since I left the school. Still have lasting academic troubles, and have terrible anxiety when it comes to test taking and school in general, my healing took years of therapy. I hope the school is different now, though my younger brother also attended K-6 (he's 13 now) and he hated it too. I've spoken to some of the classmates I'm still in contact as well and they seemed to all have bad experiences.(edited)

good school but take out junior high or put junior high in a seperate building. kindergarten is really far from grade 1 and 2 so they wont be able to communicate with their age group. also put grade 6 classrooms closer to eachother. if ur friends with someone in grade 5 and get moved to another class u guys probably wont be friends anymore in grade 6 since its so far away. overall good school tho
