Primarily a Fishing Harbour, the Havre-Aubert - Installation de Pêche Côtière (Coastal Fishing Facilities) also provides refuge for boats of deeper draft than can mange the shallow entrance (draft of 1.80m (6ft) or less), to the neighboring Les Plaisanciers du Havre marina. We draw over 8' and had no issues in the clean, well maintained Havre-Aubert - Installation de Pêche Côtière. It is a short walk to La Grave, or a shorter dingy ride through the sheltered harbour. Havre-Aubert truly has a lot to offer: beautiful natural surroundings, fine restaurants, cultural activities, shops and cafés where you can just sit back and relax.Havre-Aubert is a natural fishing and yachting harbour. Here you will find the round sloping hills called Les Demoiselles (the Misses) at whose feet there is a scenic road, Chemin d'en Haut, bordered by traditional houses. Havre-Aubert, with its Courthouse and jail, was once the busiest site on the Îles de la Madeleine.The most interesting attraction in Havre-Aubert is without a doubt the Historical site of La Grave (from the French grève": pebbly and sandy terrain). This pebbly beach was a favourite spot for fishing and commerce and still retains its maritime flavour. Designated as an historical site by the Minister of Cultural Affairs in 1983
