Mon Cheri Hair Salon

The first experience I had at Mon Cheri was when I had never been to professional for my hair before; I was nervous and ended up finding the perfect stylist for me. Kass is amazing and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time and I have gone back to her every time since then when I want to do something with my hair. I leave the salon extremely happy every single time; even when my hair doesn’t co-operate with removing old colour for new colour - Kass still finds colour combos that look amazing. My boyfriend also started getting his hair done by Steven and he’s so happy he’s met a stylist that “understands” what he’s talking about when it comes to cutting his hair! I totally recommend them. Can’t wait to book for my next appointment!

I’ve been seeing Steven for a few years and he has previously done beautiful colour work and his cuts have been consistent. However, on my last visit he DESTROYED my hair. I asked for some volume to be removed and he cut blunt layers around my head that were basically tiered. Why didn’t I say anything during the cut you might ask? I didn’t have my glasses on to see what was happening.I went elsewhere to have it fixed and they thought a child had cut my hair with kitchen scissors while I was sleeping (see photos).Management refunded my money and apologized, but since I’ll spend the next year growing this out and having to get multiple extra haircuts to try and deal with the damage I wanted to share my experience to save someone else from going through it.

Honestly I’m very skeptical when it comes to doing anything with my hair and I’ve had some bad experiences in the past when going to get my hair cut so it has probably been like 3-5 years since I was in a salon last. That being said, I wanted a change and decided to go for it and book at a new spot just down the road from my house and I have to say I loved it! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I had Mikaela today and she was so nice and friendly, she told me some products to use for my thick dry hair which is awesome and she did such a good job on my cut that I’m obsessed with it. I fully plan on making this salon & Mikaela my only saline that I will go to now. Worth the price and great work!!

Steven has been perming my hair for the past few years and I've always loved the results. He's an amazing stylist and such a super nice person! It's always a pleasure to see him :)

I’ve been using this salon for years. It’s a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are always nice and well organized.I’ve been using Danielle as my hairstylist from the time I was blonde to transitioning in to the dark side. She’s always been extremely honest and knowledgable about my hair , products and giving me amazing service. she always takes her time throughout my service and cares about the integrity of my hair that was chemically burned off by another hairdresser and absolute nightmare years ago.I can’t say it enough I highly recommend Danielle. My hair wouldn’t be where it is without her and I never thought I would have my beautiful thick hair back.

Very rough, pulled out a lot of my own hair while removing the extensions. Majority of my hair left was stuck and tangled into adhesive strips after reinstallation. Very uncomfortably and oddly placed. Had to chop 10+ inches of my hair off after removal hair was so damaged from stylist.Stylist complained entire apt of having a bad day, how I was her last client and she just wanted to go home.Next time, reschedule clients vs destroying their hair.

My hubby and I have been going to Stephen for several years. Most recently he saved me from myself where a color job done while I was on vacation out of town turned disaster. With his decades of experience and straightforward advice, I am so happy with the rescue job and have never been happier with the color and texture. THANK YOU!

I was so nervous about doing anything with my hair and after some deliberation I finally built up the courage to get a perm. I’m so glad I did because Stephen did an amazing job. You can tell he is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. No stylist has ever put that much time and effort into my hair before and the results have blown me away. I’m overjoyed with how my hair turned out and I don’t plan on getting my hair done anywhere else in the future.Thanks so much guys!
