I spent years working in the retail sales industry, working my butt off and not getting a whole lot in return. I got tired of working hard for little money or recognition. I decided I wanted to find a new career path, and thought maybe I would enjoy being a bartender. I did a Google search for schools in Toronto and at the top of the list was BartenderOne. As soon as I opened the website I was sold, and after looking at what classes they offered, I signed up for the Bartending and Mixology Masterclass course. It was one of the best decisions of my life! The course is amazing, and if you put in the effort you will learn so much more than you could ever imagine learning in a week's time. There is a lot of knowledge and skills training packed into a short period, and it is structured perfectly. The instructors at B1 are some of the coolest, most energetic, knowledgeable people and the passion they all have for the craft is awesome. After I finished the class I was invited to participate in a new competition the school was starting called BartenderOne Blazers. The top students from February competed and I was one of the top 4 of the competition given an apprenticeship to learn from Gavin MacMillan, the owner of B1 and College Street Bar! Having the chance to work behind a real bar and learn from the best in the business was simply incredible! I have learned so much from Gavin, as well as all the other staff at CSB and B1, and my confidence, skills and knowledge have improved by leaps and bounds in only a few short months. I have met so many amazing and cool people as a result of taking the course, and have made some extremely valuable connections with terrific people in the industry that will serve me for years to come. If you have even a remote interest in bartending, or work as a bartender or server already, you should not hesitate to take this course! There can be no better school in all of Toronto and you will not find better instructors anywhere! This school has it all; from knowledge and history to recipes and flare! Filled with knowledgeable instructors and a friendly atmosphere to learn, I would highly recommend this school to anyone. Amazing. two thumbs up. Five stars. all that jazz. Initially took this course as a learning experience but the intstructors were so great, and the experience was so much funner than i had expected I genuinely want to pursue this field in the near future! Learnt way more than I imagined I would've and the instructors were amazing, teaching us in a way that made me excited to be a bartender, making it feel like more of an experience than an actual job. I almost don't want to recommend this program because i know that my only competition would be others who have taken it aswell!

This is was hands down one of the most informative and fun classes I have ever taken. Who knew being on the other side of the bar would be so fun. It was great being able to learn the way drinks should actually taste and learn how to become and successful bartender in today’s industry. The teachers are real bartenders, with tons of experience who pass on their knowledge to make sure you succeed. BIG THANKS TO THE BARTENDER ONE CREW!!! CHEERS!

What an amazing Virtual Cocktail Party... we had 6 families on the call and everyone had a blast. So much fun :) Alex and Samantha were awesome, this is definitely pandemic therapy!

I took the BartenderOne Masterclass over one week and loved it. The instructors are so inspiring, knowledgeable, skillful and helpful. You come out of this course with the confidence and knowledge to work at a real bar. Definitely worth the price of the course. I learned so much and had a great time!

Bartender one training gave me the confidence that I could work in a real bar right out of school. The instructors really care about making you succeed and push you to do so. They also have apprenticeships at their very own bar so you can study how the masters do it! You can even repeat the course free of charge! I found it a better value than other schools.

In September 2017 when I decided to get into bartending, I had zero experience in the hospitality industry. I wanted to find a bartending school that was hands on, not just theory but somewhere I could actually do what I was learning. Taking the Masterclass really gave me the foundation I was looking for to start working in the industry, from cocktail knowledge, speed, presentation, free pour accuracy and so much more. Not only were the instructors extremely knowledgeable, they also made it a fun learning experince. After graduating the masterclass I signed up for their events program to gain confidence and experience behind the bar. I did different events in the Toronto area and I was really enjoying the experience so I decided to broaden my knowledge and signed up for the advanced bar chef course in February 2018, I knew if I graduated I wouldn’t have any trouble finding a bartending job. I landed a job immediately adter graduating (I actually signed the employment forms before the interview was even over). I am now a full time bartender at a popular sports bar in Oakville, Ontario. After working St. patricks day, I now really understand why the speed rounds in the masterclass are so important. I always look at schooling as an investment, with bartenderone my investment has returned itself many times over. Not only would I recommend this course to someone, i already do any time someone asks me how I got to where I am.

I didn't expect that it will be so much fun taking the course. All teachers are professional, experienced and have many interesting things to share, it's more than just learning recipes! I believe it is the right choice if you're looking at becoming a bartender.
