Great fishing lake. Cabins are nice and quaint, and there is good access to amenities. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Have stayed here numerous times and will continue to in the future. I'm glad to see it survived the fire!

I would love to give this a higher rating, but I can't. The staff were nice the view was lovely. We stayed in one of there campsites. My issue is we were just jammed in like sardines and no trees. Zero privacy.

Great place for fishing, but not for swimming due to duck itch. The cabins are great and well stocked with dishes & pots & pans. We do recommend bringing fans to keep cool in the heat of summer as you can't cool down in the water due to duck itch. Staff is friendly. Pretty decent showers & flushing toilets. Best latrines we've had to deal with.

Stayed here on a weekend of July, traveling with 5 adults and 6 kids. everything was relaxing, the place the cabins, the reception, a nice place to unplug and get away from the busyness of the city. Staff and the people staying there are really friendly, tried fishing, but failed, had so much fun though, but in the end there were this lovely couple (The Webbs) that gave us a couple of rainbow trout. Real experience here, the kids like the playground and was there everyday, made some friends with the kids there and had so much fun with the boat ride, fishing, campfire everynight. we'll be back every year if we can. Thank you Tunkwa lake resort staff for giving us and our kids some core memories to remember for their lifetime.

Tunkwa lake resort is a great place to come for a quiet trip to a well stocked lake. Richard and his team handle everything you could need and usually have some decent tips for fishing the lake boats are available to rent if you need and there is a wash house with showers. Each rustic cabin has its own designated outhouse. There is a small playground for the kids and lots of area to explore. If your planning your next family or solo vacation Tunkwa Lake Resort is a great place to check out.

Had a great family 3 night trip, rented a rustic cabin with a 2 day boat rental, the fishing was great. My wife and kids had a blast on thier 1st ever boat fishing trip. The resort is well kept and the staff is very helpful and friendly

Nice clean cabins with wood burning stoves for heat, Wood was free. No sink but they have a wash house, if your not into it bring paper plates and plastic utensils but I found it a part of the experience. The fish are a bit harder to catch but there all lunkers. 2 pound average easy. Showers are free and there's a small play structure for the young ones

Love this place. We come every year or at least we try to. We do even drive up for the day sometimes. Their cabins are great and their camping spots are as well. Flushing toilets and showers.

Came here with family and had a great time. Rustic Cabin was just right. Clean simple, not cushy, not too rough, but just right. Porch needs a good paint job or replacement, same with some of the window screens. But washrooms were ample and always clean. Dish washing area was a god send compared to doing it at your cabin or camp site. Fishing boats and Kayaks were readily available and a playground for kids (if you have any). Finally a big gazebo front and center for larger groups to congregate at and enjoy or hang by the lake side fire pits. You needed to collect drinking water for your cabin or campsite or RV but it was simple with on site taps and containers.A big bonus is they have StarLink internet for $10/day/device. A god send if you are trying to “work from home” on a Thu or Mon !Otherwise a super quiet, respectful place, no partiers just peace and quiet mixed with friendly staff.
