Watford Veterinary Clinic

Had to call them today to ask a question and they put me on hold...for 10 minutes and I actually had to hang up because it appeared they were not concerned to ensure I was received. I then phoned back a couple of minutes after the hang up and they again put me on hold after listening to my question and this was another 2 minutes where I again hung up. I am not impressed by this happening as I did think they are a compassionate animal clinic but not very considerate and conscientious to the client. Having worked in that environment and other office administration facilities so I have a background to compare to this is not considered acceptable nor respectful to the client. A customer/client should never be put on hold if longer than 2 minutes the staff should touch back with them and ask if they still can't facilitate taking the call and the client cannot stay on the line longer the staff takes their number and calls them back as soon as they can. This was very inconsiderate treatment and I'm very disappointed they didn't demonstrate any concern or phone call protocol respectfulness and repeated the incident twice in a row.

I have been to a few different vets and this place by far is awesome! Very pleasant and take the time to check over your loved one. Worth the hours drive for my fur baby.

My experience with this veterinary team was excellent. We met in an emergency situation and I am so pleased that I found them. I felt that they cared about my pet & me. They were calm and professional and understanding. They explained the information gathered during check up and they made sure I understood what they were telling me about test results etc. so I could make informed decisions about the course of care. I never felt rushed to make decisions and felt the decisions I made were respected. Also checked in with me after we were back home to see how my boy was doing. We made new friends that took great care of us and my dog loves to stop in just to say hi now. He gets excited when I ask Do you want to go to the vets?" I have been a pet guardian for 25 years and know I have found gold with this team!"

Buyer bewareWe took our cat here for some dental work, nothing fancy just a cleaning and extraction. Told them her history, about her sensitive stomach and her heart murmur. They got her info from our past vet as well outlining what was done there. We went with them because we could more easily afford the work there than what another had quoted and wanted to help our cat live a better pain free life. Well we got what we paid for.A few weeks after her dental she started to go off her food again, took her in to follow up and was told everything looked fine. There was a real ‘it’s almost 4 on a Friday home time’ vibe and was not impressed. Everything was not fine. She stopped eating entirely without medical intervention.Got her to another vet and now we have her booked in for another dental cleaning and extraction where we’re told that she will have 80% of her teeth removed due to the dental disease present.Long story short we were not listened to at all by either vets we saw at Watford, they knew her stomach was sensitive to certain pain meds and they gave pain meds that upset her stomach, because the one pain med that had worked so well for her before is not effective according to one vet there. One of the meds they gave us the other vet clinic said was not often given to cats if at all because it is so hard on their system, so now we have to hope that it has not done any damage to her kidneys. One vet didn’t hear the heart murmur and told us it wasn’t present and dismissed what we said, the other who said everything with her mouth was fine heard it but dismissed our concerns about her loss of appetite. So we did not save money or help our cat. If anything this has done more harm to her and more stress for us both emotional and financial. We would not recommend this clinic at all.

Had our weim in to get spayed. They did an ausome job. Oaks wasnt quite herself the next morning so they rushed her back in for a check up. Gave her new meds free of charge. She is back to her goofy self now. Thanks for taking such good care of our little girl.
