Steve is nicest guy! I had a squeaky belt which I came in around 4 to make an appointment to have it looked at (the receptionist was also so lovely). When Steve overheard he offered to take a look at it right there! A quick tweak and a nice chat and my belt is fixed! Fantastic customer service!!

Steve bailed us out big time! As tourists, we had locked our two ebikes together without the right key. He came with a cutter and released us. To top it off he refused payment. One great guy!

These guys are phenomenal!  We were visiting Sooke from the mainland and the radiator went on my vehicle, then my overhead gasket went!  On our second day, my husband had a heart attack and had to go into hospital for surgery. I was due to pick him up from hospital the same day my car died on me, but couldn't use my vehicle due to it overheating!  These guys were amazing, especially Sherry, Steve and Liam!  Not only did they fit me in and fix my radiator on the same day, when my gasket went, they called around to try and hook me up with a car rental to get me to the hospital.  Due to it being almost 5.30pm the car rental places were closing and I had no way of getting to the hospital in Victoria to get my husband!Liam, the nice young mechanic offered to give me a ride to the hospital (a two hour drive!), so I could pick up my husband and he also drove us back to our accommodation.  He also picked me up the next morning and drove me to a pharmacy to pick up my husband's heart medication.  I decided to leave my car on the island as it was going to cost more to repair than the car's worth, so we had to buy another vehicle because the car rental place wouldn't allow us to take a car off the island!  West Shack Auto also offered to inspect this vehicle for us.  They also took care of my old vehicle and arranged for a  tow truck to take it away for us.  At a very stressful & upsetting time for us, these guys really came to our rescue and I cannot thank them enough.  They are extremely honest, very reliable, quick at diagnosing problems, totally professional in what they do, charge very reasonable rates and go above and beyond to get you home or where you need to go!  In my 33 years of owning cars, I have NEVER met a more caring and helpful bunch of people...thank you so very, very much. I will never forget what you did for us in our time of need. You guys rock!!

A bit of a bumpy start, mostly because I'm a difficult person to deal with, but a super strong finish! Very friendly and excellent pricing. Definitely recommend and will use in the future.*Update* second visit. Best shop in Sooke. Don't go anywhere else. Trust is key, and you can trust them!

such a Great locally owned shop,Rob is a great mechanic and I know I’m always in good hands when I take my vehicle in. Wouldn’t take it anywhere else.

Acura, needed a starter motor, they diagnosed the problem and charged an hour labour, then replaced the starter motor, and charged four hours labour, then replaced the serpentine belt and charged another hour labour. Six hours labour!. On top of that they charged $510 for the starter motor and $90 for the belt. Expensive!

Huge Miscommunication leading to a significant increase in repair costs above original quote on my moms vehicle repair was already quite expensive for her to begin with due to the nature of the design. Owner made good on it and fixed the situation mom is extremely relieved .will definitely return .Thank you .
