Grass Root Dairies

Grassroots Dairy is a lovely spot near Salmon Arm off the main hwy. Cool shady picnic area on rich green grass. Goats and chickens to amuse you and wonderful cheeses and many other products to sample and buy. May I recommend the Mighty Mazuda! Friendly folks and great place to stock up on cheese, picnic and recharge away from the hustle of downtown Salmon Arm. They are a Harvest Host too for those with a membership!

The Grass Root Dairies cheese store is located just minutes outside Salmon Arm. Very friendly staff members feeds you with all kinda of house made Gouda cheeses including habanero Gouda. You can also find Quark there and some delicious jams and since you're on the farm, you are welcome to visit barn and cuddle with super friendly calves. There are goats and cats too.The giant swings make this visit fun.

Perfect stop on our travels. Excellent service, purchased home made ice cream for now and cheeses to take home to savour. Best part of our trip was sweet little farm kittens wandering about. Recommend this as a must visit!

This place was a cool stop we did in our travels. The staff were super helpful and gave us lots of samples, we bought some Gouda and would have bought more if we hadn’t been on the road.

The Mazuda cheese is amazing, the customer service is first class, the gelato is wonderful, I bought some milk but haven’t tried it yet ,, I will definitely be backUpdate: May 25, I made a cheese cake using grass roots dairy quark, it is soooo tasty!

A truly unique farm experience. When in Salmon Arm, you need to visit Grass Root Dairies and try their cheese and milk. Their 3.6% farm made Milk is a must try as you will not be able to find this anywhere else. The taste is much more clearer and delicious than Supermarket milk.Likewise, their Coconut Ice Cream made with their in house milk is very tasty. Coconut shavings and real whole vanilla are present and is a must try when visiting.Their cheese selection is very grand. All were very tasty, but we liked the Might Mazuda Cheese X Aged. Not too expensive too!Their free tour visiting around the farm allows you to see the cows, cheese making process, and the cow housing. If you're lucky, you will find Cody the farm dog walking alongside you asking to play fetch.

What a delight! The Gouda was scrumptious and the business was so cute! Take a trip out to this little farm for grass fed grub (cheese, desserts, jams, jellies, etc)

This is one of our favourite places not only in Salmon Arm, but in the world! Everything they sell is amazing and the family who owns it are the nicest people ever. Even their animals are all super friendly. It’s paradise. This is not only a store, it’s an experience.We especially love the yogurt, heavy cream, ground beef, and assortment of other local goodies. Oh, and the gelato!

So the cheese was amazing but who cares when there are PUPPIES???????? The lady in the shop directed us to a barn where these guys and their momma greeted us. Super playful and fun. We will stop by next time we're around for some puppy snuggles... I mean Cheese! New slogan:come for our cheese, stay for our puppies!

I love their ice cream, the best ice cream I have ever tried in Western Canada. Too bad I did not have free space in our freezer to bring some more back, but I definitely will visit once I'll be passing by this lovely place. Fresh cheese curds taste like in Quebec, really good. Also bought a milk and now I really miss this taste, it's a day and night comparing with milk in grocery stores.
