It wasn't a bad experience and the waitress was great! The nachos are good but nothing special. The club house's we ordered would have been great if not for the uncooked bacon. The bacon was not even close to being cooked as shown in the picture. Come on people common sense... cook the bacon!! IF YOU GO HERE AND GET ANYTHING WITH BACON ASK FOR BACON WELL DONE!!That way you won't have to spit out the raw pieces like I did. The resturant itself is very dated and needs some TLC. The small tiny men's bathroom was very smelly of urine to the point I had to put my shirt over my face because it was so strong. Too small of a bathroom for a urinal. At least they had paper towel though instead of those stupid heat air dryers. I probably will try it again but not for awhile.

Very fun place. So much character.Todd was very hit or miss. My partners sandwiche was great. I'm pretty sure that my burger used a frozen Costco burger patty. Costco burgers are good but not in this context. Server was not very attentive but I feel that was less their fault than by management not staffing enough workers.Prices and beer selection were very good.

Fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere. I love that the Nacho's are layered, the mozzarella sticks are phenomenal. The attention to detail did not only meet but exceed expectations:) service was excellent, polite and friendly.P.s This is also home of the dirty burger as it's owned by the trailer park boys

We had our first pre-Neptune diner at the Economy Shoe Shop. Great atmosphere. The decor is interesting and colorful, the staff are welcoming and friendly...and they care about the patrons. A special shout out to our waitress Bailey and her serving assistant, who made us feel right at home. My husband said their chips are among the best, and my caesar salad with chicken was fresh and crisp. Loved our visit. It will jot be the last.

Our daughter and roommate took us out as our first choice was unavailable so this was a great choice to try as there was live music and we seated ourselves. They had plenty of local brews and quite the character of an establishment.We ordered some appetizers and I missed the fine print on the Dirty Burger of two patties. The 1/2 Nachos were plenty for one person.

We were greeted and seated right away. They are pretty strict with the covid regulations (not a bad thing). It did take our server a hot minute to get to us, but once she did, she was great. She was very accommodating throughout the whole experience. Always checking and offering additional drinks food etc. I requested a drink I had got at another restaurant and not only did they happily make it, they nailed it. The food is pretty standard, came to us fresh and tasted good. It's fair pricing too. All in all a good time and I'd definitely return.

Pretty good food. Good drinks. Decent service. Overall, nothing too exciting, but a good reliable option. The atmosphere is nice, lighting provides a good ambiance, and its located in a decent spot if you're looking to get food and/or drinks at a few different locations. Overall, a solid option in the core of downtown Halifax.

Ordered the club sandwich on Uber and asked for no mayo, looks like extra mayo was added. I got 1 tomato slice and rotten lettuce. I wouldn’t suggest ordered from here.

Definitely not the Shoe Shop it used to be. We arrived with a group of 7, including 4 kids. March break on a Monday night and it was definitely not busy. We arrived just after 8 pm and waited at least 45 minutes for food, meanwhile watching multiple takeout orders being packed up & out of the kitchen. Our food finally arrived; the kids' meals were basic and mostly fine but the nachos were cold and had unmelted cheese. They did not prioritize us in the least on this visit, and then had the nerve to inform us we were staying beyond the hour (9 pm) where children are no longer allowed to be in the dining room. We won't be going back, sadly. I had a lot of great memories of this place over the years and will miss what it used to be.
