Vancouver Island University

Do you wish you had more muscular legs? Do you want to improve your cardio? Well VIU is for you! Here they have stairs! And more stairs! And even MORE stairs! There are stairs as far as the eye can see! After a semester of going here you'll have the bulging, muscular, tree legs of your dreams!Also the staff here are friendly and the university is nice overall. There's also bunnies everywhere. So that's good. Bunnies are cute. They also distract you from the inevitable leg pains you'll get after climbing your 500th stair in the day.

The uni is easy enough, but its the locals you got to watch out for. Outsiders are not welcome and the tales will be spun.

Came for my cousin's graduation and being my first time on the Island, I must say I was impressed. The campus is absolutely beautiful, the backdrop where the residences are located, with the huge cedar and fir trees is stunning. Loved being here and a great ceremony.

I am pleasantly happy with its facilities, the gym is totally professional, I only attended a volleyball course for my son, and I hope that this will be his university in the future

That was the most scam happened to me in my entire life. I joined this university in February 2016 and they made me studied English although I have my Ilets Test and had to Pay $5000 for that.After that I joined their PDDP program and in the middle of my studies my status changed from temporary to permanent and their international department refused to release my file to the domestic department so they keep charging me more.I almost finish my courses and I still have one course to graduate and I heard all the excuses for almost three years and now they decided to tell me that they are not doing my course anymore and there is nothing they can do, which means the tuition that I paid which is over $25000 get vanished.What kind of scam and money theft is that.These people should be sued

I am so proud to be a VIU student. I met the best teachers here. They are incredibly dedicated and inspiring. The staffs are so supportive and friendly. Modern facilities and spacious classrooms. Giant 5stars

Pathetic and the worst university I have seen in Canada. They talk about ethics and values but end up making money from international students by failing them intentionally in their assignments and midterms. Professors are horrible and least considerate towards international students, end up passing racist comments to the students. Have a long list of names for this. I really do not think anyone who pass out from this University will or should ever recommend this University to anyone. Don’t try to pressurize students to be Scientists, students can attempt suicide and who will be responsible for it? Instead you cooperate with them and try to understand their situation.

Small class sizes, excellent teachers, beautiful views and lots of study space make this smaller university on Vancouver Island shine. I have really enjoyed my time at this university. Although I have had a couple professors that have not been very good, they are vastly outweighed by many outstanding others who really do a great job. The people at the university are friendly, and you don't have to endure a freezing winter as is the case in most other universities across Canada. Blossoms typically start coming out in February! On sunny days, you can see all the mountains north of Vancouver on the mainland, BC Ferries travelling between the island and mainland, and so much more. There is also lots to do in the surrounding area.
