What an amazing experience! Jason was so helpful & accommodating leading up to the tour and so generous and considerate during the tour. He really made everyone feel comfortable and customized our tour to fit everyone's needs. We learned so much and saw some amazing wildlife & scenery. There was never any concern with safety or competency. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to any of my friends & family. I can't wait to do it again!

A perfect tour with Jason. His competency excels in guiding and providing a safe and fun tour. We saw large seals basking in rocks and many popping up around us. We spent some time exploring an island which was great fun. Learned a lot from Jason's extensive knowledge.

We stayed 2 nights at the RV and wish we had booked the whole week. The location is so peaceful and scenic, it was the perfect spot for a few down days with the family during our 3 weeks of exploring Canada. Jason was easy to reach when we needed anything and helpful in offering sightseeing suggestions. We also took the zodiac tour which was absolutely worth it. Seeing the coast from the water offers a completely different perspective of the area. The variety and amount of wildlife that we saw would not have been possible from land. Very knowledgeable and friendly host, would 100% return and recommend to others.

Our Zodiac tour with the Lunenburg Retreat was, hands down, one of the best experiences we’ve had on a trip. Jason was professional but still friendly and a fount of knowledge on the local geography and wildlife. His interpretive skills really made the experience stand out. He didn’t just show us the awesome landscape that is the South Shore,he also explained it,naming vegetation and explaining how specific landscapes came to be. He was as informative with the wildlife, and demonstrated the respect due to the animals in their natural habitat, never encroaching or exploiting their presence.The overall mood of the Lunenburg Retreat was very laid back and welcoming. Jason and his team made you feel like well-liked neighbors over for a visit. I can’t say enough about how impressed we were with their service and the experience. When we make our way back to the area, the Lunenburg Retreat will be a definite priority stop.

Our family of eight (8) adults booked a Zodiac Tour with Lunenburg Retreat as part of our vacation in Nova Scotia. We booked our Tour less than a week before our trip to Nova Scotia and were excited they were able to accommodate us. The weather the day of our Tour was sketchy (with rain, fog and generally damp conditions). Fortunately, the weather cleared shortly before our Tour was set to begin and we ended up with a glorious day with just the right amount of fog to add an air of the unknown to the Tour and just enough sunshine to remind us of the beauty of God’s creation.The Tour was fantastic and provided us with the chance to see a whole colony of seals, a myriad of sea birds and a variety of other marine creatures. Our tour guide, Jason Ransom, was fantastic. He was highly informative and fun, but also checked with us regularly to make sure everyone was comfortable with what we were doing.After the Tour, we were met on the shore by Jason’s friends and family who provided a wonderful spread of wine, cheese and other snacks and beverages (clearly one of the benefits of being the last Tour of the day).Our Zodiac Tour with Lunenburg Retreat was the highlight of our trip to Nova Scotia. In addition to being a great way to see why Nova Scotia is “Canada’s Ocean Playground,” the Tour gave us the opportunity to interact with Jason and his team who are some of the nicest people you could ever hope meet.
