Lemon & Pine Co

We’ve been using Lemon and Pine for two years now and are very satisfied with their service. They always arrive on time and work efficiently. We especially appreciate their accommodating our pets - they always ensure they don’t scare them (always checking they’re not in the immediate vicinity before using the vacuum), and taking extra care to get up all the stray fur that accumulates in hard to reach places. The cleaners are both friendly and professional, and we trust them in our home.

I was disappointed with Lemon & Pine multiple times. I continued to give them chances and the benefit of the doubt, but at the end of the day my experience showcased too much unprofessionalism, lack of responsiveness and lack of reliability for me to partner with them or recommend them.Over two months time:- I first filled out my info online. No response for two weeks.- Followed up by Instagram and she said she would get back to me.- She never got back to me - I followed up again to see if they do have avail or if I should contact another company. She said they could fit me in and would get back to me on Monday.- She gets back to me. We confirm a date for a clean as well as a walk through.- A walk through happens.- No follow up. No quote provided.- The day prior to my clean - I had a weird feeling. I followed up hours before my scheduled clean to see what time they are coming and to get a quote.- Erika responds minutes later - letting me know that they have had a challenging WEEK with many team members sick, they will not be coming. With no apology. No empathy. Nothing.Well, if you had a challenging week…why not give me the heads up that you might need to cancel. Why did I need to follow up to learn you won’t be coming? If I didn’t reach out, would I have just been sitting and waiting for cleaners to arrive? That’s just not ok…The fact that she couldn't even apologize for the situation she created showed me that she's just not a good human or she lacks total self awareness and empathy.Erika said she would get back to me to schedule me in. And nothing.I totally understand things happen, people are sick, however the lack of responsiveness throughout the two months of me trying to work with them was just not ok, cancelling on me hours before my clean with no apology etc etc …it was a pattern that created a lack of trust. She set expectations (ex: I’ll get back to you and never does) and didn’t follow through.I was left high and dry hours before my scheduled clean. I had an event that weekend and had organized cleaners around that. If I had a heads up, I could have organized other cleaners. Yet, I was up all night cleaning my house with a baby while also prepping food and everything else. Leaving me exhausted for the actual event and not being able to enjoy everyones company as much as I would have liked to.If you’re busy, you’re busy. Let prospective clients know that rather than promising something and then not delivering. Don’t make them wait around you and then not have any cleaners. Apologize.There are other companies in town that are more reliable, respectful, responsive and empathetic - I would encourage working with them.
